This kit has a smattering of everything you might do with leather. I bought it with a small simple project in mind. I the kit provided me the ability to determine that I needed some better tools and whIch ones I need So here’s my view on a few items The hammer is nice. Perhaps not really big enough but I got it to work ok. The punches that cut leather are just barely sharp enough to cut through the thin leather I was working with The stitch grooving tool didn’t work for me as it was not sharp enough. I bought a better one The edge cutter is also not sharp enough and has been replaced I like the mats that came with it although haven’t used them The xacto knife feels lower quality. I didn’t test it because I have razor knives that I like. I suspect the knife will work fine for a novice though. Burnisher worked fine. Not sure how one couldn’t work!! It’s nice to have the smattering of other tools to test out and develop new skills The case seems to be a complete afterthought. All the stuff piles in in a disorganized fashion. Go buy a better toolbox or storage container with compartments. I have repurposed the case as it’s nice for something light duty. It’s just a box with hinges and latches. Very basic, but certainly better than just getting a cardboard box of miscellaneous tools! ... show more

This kit is not for beginners it has tons of pieces and parts with NO instructions or information how or what to do or use... Very frustrating
