This is a super fun set of doll house-size musical instruments. I will be using them for a Christmas Tree Ornament holder for Christmas. Here is what I love. Each group of instruments is individually wrapped. The piano key cover actually closes and includes a paper holder for the music, and the sustain pedal can be pressed. Love that! All of the string instruments have actual strings. They are really cute. The violins come with actual separate violin bows that have strings on them. The brass instruments have loops where you can tie a string to them and hang them, which allows them to be used as Christmas Tree Ornaments. And the drums are super shiny and sweet. The overall kit is cute and fun. For the price, this would make a great gift for any musician. As a musician myself, I adore it, and the attention to detail is wonderful!

Some of these are really really cute, some are “blah” All of them are smaller than expected; nowhere near Barbie-size. For reference, they would fit into the L.OL.-verse better. The piano is by far the cutest piece. It comes with a bench, tiny paper sheet music, the key lid opens and closes, and the pedals can be pressed. The string instruments and guitars are similar in quality and have “real” plastic strings and for the classical strings, matching bows. The brass and drums look like they were thrown in there from a surplus of cheap Christmas tree ornaments; and small ones at that. They are light, cheap, and flimsy. They even still have a string loop to hang them off of a miniature Christmas tree. NOT dollhouse accessories. I think they were just added to increase the “piece” count and this would have been a much better kit if there were only a few higher-quality pieces. Maybe one trumpet, one sax, one set of rock/jazz drums, and some classical timpani would really round out this collection, if they were truly though out like the piano and stringed instruments. I’d still say “get this kit” if your small house needs a piano, but don’t even consider the brass and drums as part of the “value”

I got these for my 6 year old and she loves them and played for hours with them and her dog figurines. She can pretend play all day and these miniature instruments are great open ended additions to this. The detail on these is very nice and I love how the piano keys have a cover you can open and close and the string instruments have actual strings you can strum (no sound comes out of course). They are very lightweight and the brass instruments are plastic, not metal, which would have been nice, but they still look great and we are very happy them. You get so much with this set and I would purchase it again.

These are fun toys, but a bit big for traditional doll houses. They're sturdily made, though I'm not sure how the paint on the "brass" instruments will hold up to being played with. I got them for doing some photography things with, and I'm not sure they'll work, due to looking cheap.

Collecting and displaying miniatures is a wonderful hobby. You can create a scene with furniture and accessories, and you can greatly improve the scene by adding dolls, and it's even better if the dolls are doing something interesting. Playing music is a very good activity for dollhouse dolls. The guitars and the piano are the best pieces. The wind instruments are more cheaply made. This set is fun to play with. It's good to expose kids to musical instruments when they are young.

As long as your expectation is that you'll be receiving some nicely detailed plastic instruments, then you will most likely appreciate this set. They are plastic pieces. Most of the horns have a loop on them that you can thread a string through to use as an ornament or to incorporate into other crafts. The drums especially would be good to use for Christmas crafting. The piano lid opens and closes and comes with a bench. The violins and bows have nylon strings. As long as the children are over Age 3 (due to small parts), these would be fine for them to play with in a dollhouse. Also, good for miniature making. Not heirloom quality, but good pieces.

This 27 piece orchestra is highly detailed. The piano even has the flip door to display the keys. My grandson loves music and he couldn't get enough of this set. He tried to play each of the instruments even though none of them actually played. He enjoyed pretending with them. It was so cute!
