  • Nice quality Staunless ball bearing
I work on pumps for a living. This ball was purchased to use on a shaft seal sleeve to drive the mechanical seal. The pump manufacturer wanted $38.00 for one steel ball. I purchased 25 stainless steel balls for a fraction of that cost. A more premium material for the application, 25 times as many, and 25 of them for way less money. The fit was perfect. The surface looked perfect. I'm sure it would work great as a ball bearing as it was designed to be ... show more

  • Good quality
Very good bike bearings. Also bought 1/8" for rear hub. It takes 50. By the way, folks. These aren't magic balls that are magnetized to themselves.....they will respond in the PRESENCE of a magnet only.

placed them inside 1 oz glass bottles and use them as a mixing ball for acrylic paints. so far have not seen any issues with rust and have worked great, only time will tell how they will hold up, but for now, they're just what i needed

  • Installed these in my bike, it rolls easy now.
These matched the size of the ball bearings in my bike. They work fine.

  • Good for honey extractor
Did the trick. I bought these for my honey extractor - they are slightly smaller than the size that came with it but work just as well. Haven't used long enough to say whether they are corrosion resistant, but as stainless steel I would expect them to last for quite some time. Will follow-up with another post if I notice any issues after a couple seasons of use. ... show more

  • Just what I needed
Using these for an atypical project but in case anyone else is looking... These fit great in the second chamber of my Cali Crusher without blocking the holes and slipping through the openings. Would also be a great option for the "bottle & nickle" method as they are alot cleaner than your average coin. A good cheap way to get a finer grind without having to buy another piece. Also good for a make shift wicca box :) ... show more

  • Good bearings but misleading/incorrect product info
The seller is claiming that "They will not rust", this is completely false assuming these are actually 440 stainless. 440 stainless is mostly iron, around 80%, it's not rust proof, but it's more rust resistant than the more common chrome steel bearings out there. If you want something that won't rust you want 300 series stainless bearings not 400. Most of the bad reviews I've seen a result of not understanding what 440 stainless is; it's magnetic, it can rust, and the product description isn't helping. There's nothing really wrong with the bearings, the reason it's getting 3 stars is the misleading product info. They are very consistent and as perfectly round as I can measure. They are .001" undersized but so are my existing worn bearings. Using these for my bike, while servicing the rear axle one of the bearings fell out and rolled off to who knows where, rather than wasting any more time looking for it, I opted to spend 6 bucks and get some new ones. These will also likely be better than my old bearings, which are likely cheaper chrome steel which isn't as corrosion resistant. ... show more
