  • the smaller sets can be combined to make a bigger item
I like it when I get one of these sets and the smaller sets within them can combine to make a larger item. In this Kederwa 24 Pack Valentines Day Gifts for Kids you get 2 sets of 12 different smaller things. The two sets are identical, meaning if you got this for yourself, you can use one set to make the 12 smaller things, and the other set to make the larger thing. Everything in this set can be considered Valentine's related. The larger item is a wedding chapel, complete with piano and someone to perform the ceremony. The 12 smaller items are things like gift boxes, a flower bouquet, a wine bottle with two wine glasses, and an arrow of love. The cards are attached to the bags of toys with a simple "Happy Valentine's Day" on one side and a place to put the names on the other. I had no trouble with this set, save that at one point I realized I put the wrong piece in as the directions are sometimes a little hard to decipher. But that was in the larger wedding chapel. The piano bench uses an odd green piece as a connector and it's not clear unless you look really close. I didn't discover my mistake until I needed the piece I'd used instead. The instructions for the smaller were no problem to understand. I'm happy with my selection of this Building Blocks Set which is why I rate it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Cute set but not for children
I really love the packaging of this product. These are Valentine’s ready to go…BUT…I have to say they aren’t for children. The biggest reason is there’s a champagne bottle and wine glasses as an offered set!!! That’s not child friendly at all! Now I have to dig through all of these sets and figure out that building set and remove it and then replace it with something else or not offer any of these to my child’s class. It would be a great set without this. Maybe the engagement ring and “I love you” could even be replaced for the other sets that are more kid friendly. Also, I had my elementary age daughter build this set. She found it difficult to follow the instructions. I tried to build the bear myself and it took me a good half hour and a few rebuilds. The pieces do fit together just fine, it’s the directions that seemed confusing to us. If it wasn’t for the 3 sets I mentioned, it would be a 5 star product. ... show more

  • Such great ideas for Valentine's day gifts/party favors
These building blocks are of the same size as the name brand -- be aware of some "micro-blocks", which are much smaller than the regular-size blocks and much harder to construct (resulting in frustration and tears - I learnt it the hard way). I like these gifts are pre-packaged (no more work from the parent), just need to write names and they are ready to go. They also come with instructions. Because they are of the same size as regular Lego, they can be mixed and added to the existing collection. A much more usable gift than other goodie bag alternatives (pencil erasers, candies) in my opinion. ... show more

  • Fun and unique
I love the idea of these Valentine gifts/cards and the lego lover is super excited to share these with his class. However, the first thing I noticed when looking at the product page images, was that I really didn't want to give any kid a wine bottle. I figured there can't be that many of the wine bottles in this set so I would be able to remove that one and still have plenty for the rest of the class. These Valentines come ready to sign and hand out, which is great, but it isn't exactly easy to see which set each bag contains. Each lego set is in a bag with the Valentines card stapled to close it on top. One side of the card says Happy Valentine's Day and the other has a place for writing to and from. You can see the instructions inside each bag, but they are folded in a way that does not allow you to see the completed project. Upon closer inspection I realized I could see most of the kit numbers, so I organized them that way. There are 12 different sets and you get 2 of each. I was able to look through these to guess which one was the wine bottle. so I didn't have to open them all. If you have the same concern it is set no K54-5. If you are not concerned about this at all, then these are completely ready to go. There is plenty of room to write their names on and everything is together, so you don't even need to assemble the toy with the card. This is a great set to provide children with something they will enjoy more than just a card. The pieces all look like your typical lego sets, so I don't think there will be any issues with them. I think this is a fun set to hand out to any class or group of children. ... show more

  • All the rage!
These building blocks will never go out of style! Kids love getting a non-candy option in my experience -- all the candy is overwhelming on Valentines, so this is a fund surprise to find in their bags! Also helps in classrooms where you have to be aware of food allergies, which is sometimes challenging. All the kids seem to love this option, so I definitely recommend! ... show more

  • Nice set of blocks but not 100% kid friendly
We ordered these to give out to my kiddo's classmates. They are in grade school. These set of building blocks are well built and giftable. They are individually wrapped but they don't include a picture of what each set is. This was minor issue because we wanted to filter out a few of them since they were not age appropriate. This set includes 2 sets of champagne bottle sets which we had to remove. It has a couple of sets that look like coffins. I'm not sure what those are supposed to be. Because of this we also had to remove them as gifts. Keep this in mind if you're gifting these since you'll only have 20 giftable sets instead of 24. ... show more

  • Good price. Nice alternative to sweets.
The media could not be loaded. These are super cute and a great alternative to candy. A good majority of elementary school kids love building sets. I plan to pair these with pencils and erasers but I don't have to purchase cards as these already have them attached. At the time of this review this Valentine Building Block set was only ten bucks, which is comparable to other Valentine 24 pack sets. ... show more
