Seeking a reliable solution for freezing our annual surplus of tomatoes, I opted for the Munfix 24 Pack - 32 Oz Plastic Deli Containers with Lids. Familiar with the versatility of such containers, I had high hopes for this purchase. However, the only thing standing between this product and 5 star reviews is misleading representation from the seller. Let's address the positive aspects first. The containers boast a commendable thickness, which lends them durability and ensures they are safe for use in dishwashers, microwaves, and freezers. This feature is undoubtedly their selling point, making them suitable for long-term storage of various food items. The 32-ounce capacity is particularly well-suited for freezing juices and other liquids in convenient quantities. However, my enthusiasm is tempered by the seller's misleading portrayal of the product. The images used by the seller depict the containers as being exceptionally transparent, which could lead one to believe they are not as robust as they actually are. In reality, the containers' thickness is what makes them suitable for dishwasher and freezer use. Had they been as transparent as depicted in the photos, they would likely lack the necessary sturdiness for long-term storage. Furthermore, the practicality of these containers would be diminished by their transparency. These plastic containers are decent quality and work well for food storage. They are not great for really hot foods like freshly made soups or sauces because the plastic gets too hot and leaks. I would only use them for cold items or putting away cooled foods.
