    • Two failed monitors, a problematic seller, bad directions from amazon. Lesson learned stay FAR away.

Well at first this monitor worked great. For about 48 hours. I turn my monitors off at night when I am not at work so they can rest and no risk of screen burn overnight. I also have screen savers set to set in 30 mins after no activity. The first monitor I had worked great until I turned it on on day 3 and the screen just flashed colors. Red, blue, green, black, gray and cycled through them. Didnt matter what input I used on the monitor, DVI or HDMi port did the same. Swapped outputs on my video card, same result. Tested with 3 other monitors I have and no problem. Test with my laptop on this monitor, same problem of rotating colors. Mind you I built my PC 2 years ago and have never had a problem like this. I turn it off and on 10x or so, and eventually it goes back to normal and displays my desktop. I message Amazon, they are very apologetic as usual. They send a second one and I agree to send back the first one or be charged. 24 hours later my second replacement one displays pixel lines all over the screen that looks like 1" by 1" graph paper. An even more annoying problem than the original "rotating color screen." I message amazon again and they say that I am fine to dispose of the second one and they will have me contact the seller directly to have them send a new one. Amazon chat directs me to "dispose" of the first one as the seller has the ability to send a replacement and should with no problem. I have gone back and fourth for a week and a half with the seller, and they keep asking me to return the one I was already told to dispose of. Mistake on my part for listening to amazon and throwing it away. The seller, has been less than helpful at best. Amazon has been moderately helpful but also put me in this situation. This was a waste of a month to see how a $200 monitor would work out. Simply put, I would have paid 2 or 3x the price for one that just worked right the first time as this has been quite a pain. Which is what I wound up doing. I bought one locally at Micro Center so if I had any issues still I could just deal with it locally. I was hopeful given the reviews, that this would be a great deal but I've wound up typing more and taking more pictures of two broken monitors than I have ever wanted. This was a massive waste of time and I'm still getting charged for one of the monitors that I disposed of because now I cant return it. Lesson learned, avoid the seller and the product. ... show more
