Of all things to be impressed by.... These little guys are exactly what I set out to get when I dreamt up a design for under-bed- storage. I have a very dense/heavy "full" sized mattress that is being supported and lifted from the side by 23" 150lb struts at the moment. Sturdy. Quality. Easy on the wallet. My calculations were just a tiny bit off though because after adding my bedding and anything else that makes it atop my bed it doesn't fully lift the weight. After 5 months of using an arm or my back to painfully help support it I swallowed my pride and messaged ARANA. My expectations were low seeing as it had been 5 months or more! But I remembered that like half of the reviews mentioned the awesome customer service so I gave it a shot. To my surprise VIgor was very helpful and after attempting to troubleshoot the common mishaps he decided it would be no issue to just send me a 200lb pair to replace the 150's. Seriously this company frickin rocks. The product is solid, the service is above and beyond, and the price is so reasonable that I just have a hard time believing it. New struts on the way and I will buy from ARANA again - I feel like I owe them that much. ♥️

I used these to add assist to opening of a heavy lid that covers a well tank. It was difficult for the homeowner to open, as it took about 80 pounds of force to lift. So I purchased the 100 pound, 23 inch set, not sure exactly how strong they needed to be. I emailed the supplier a sketch and asked what location to mount these. I mounted in location they suggested, and after adjusting location slightly a couple of times, they work great. After raising lit about 12" (with much lower force than before) they essentially raise the lid the rest of the way. Exactly what I needed. The mounting brackets are very versatile and allow many mounting options. My only issue is that the mounting brackets seem too light duty, as you can see by the picture. I removed and straightened the brackets, then mounted them on the inside of bracket so the force was more even (Pic showing full open lid shows final layout). Seem to be OK, but not sure how long they will hold up. However, this lid is only opened maybe once a month, so I believe it will be OK.

Why can’t you use the industry standard ball and socket attachments? Now, in order for me to use these, I will need to rip out the existing brackets and install these. Don’t waist your time on this product.

Used these to hold heavy lid up on a diy generator enclosure. As another reviewer mentioned the mounting bracket’s aren’t strong enough. Must be soft metal? They both bent 1st time I closed the lid. So bought a piece of 4” channel iron from tractor supply. Approximately 5/16” thick x 10” long. Then cut in 1/2 to use 1 for top & other for bottom mounting. Used 3/8” lag bolts to attach. So far works great. These are the 200Lb ones and are almost to strong for intended use when using 2. But I believe more is better than less. So I’m keeping them. The struts seem to be good though. May update with photos later.

The brackets for these don't hold up at all. My first attempt to close my RV lid for my large custom made storage bin caused the brackets to bend which did not allow the lid to close. No-go for sure.
