Did a lot of research and so glad I made this purchase. Works very well when hardwired and the memory feature of last setting works perfect. Big plus was how professionally is was made. I see other LED mirrors with LEDs exposed to the elements. This unit has all the LEDs and related electronics encapsulated in a tough (plastic?) body? This is a really beautiful edge/back lit mirror. I had been searching for one for a while and they all either looked cheap or were very very expensive so I jumped on this when it first appeared in my amazon searches. I’ve had it for over six months now and LOVE it. The light from the rim is very very even with no bright spots evident. The effect on your eyes when looking at it makes this the ultimate selfie mirror. Additionally the heating element has kept it fog-free for my longest marathon showers. Because the mirror is about an inch and a half thick and the back is made of a somewhat translucent material there is enough light leaking through the sides behind the glass to add a faint backlight to the wall around the mirror which only helps to enhance the whole look. The mirror comes with a standard US wall plug but I just cut it off and wired the cord into my wall switch so it comes on with the bathroom lights. I’ve noticed that the LEDs take about two seconds to come on from the time the switch is flipped so you wouldn’t want this to be the only light on the switch or people will get confused and think it isn’t working or they used the wrong switch. One thing to be aware of when hard wiring it; the heating element comes on whenever it is powered on. It’s convenient because I’d never ever remember to turn it on before a shower but because it’s on the whole time it can add a lot of heat to the room. ... show more

We ordered two mirrors. Easy to install and are beautiful. The only thing is one lights up way brighter than the other. Luckily Amazon is sending out a new one. Hopefully the brightness matches the other one. FYI for those ordering more than one.

This is a review of the M LTMIRROR 23.6" X 31.5" wall mounted mirror, the more expensive version of the two oval mirrors that are commonly available. It shipped from California in a fully padded and reinforced package. Once unboxed, the mirror itself weighted about 20 pounds. Its total thickness and projection from the wall when mounted is 1-3/8 inches. It has a sealed, plastic compartment on the back that houses the LED lights and electrical components. There is also an oval trough in the plastic on the back side that can be used to hold the power cord. Rather than wiring the mirror into a recessed junction box behind it, I chose to use the power cord and a nearby outlet. The fact that the power cord must transit out of the trough to get to a receptacle means that the cord will cause the mirror not to seat flat onto the wall. To remedy this, I stuck several small pieces of thick mounting tape on the back of the mirror. This tape is about the same thickness as the power cord and it provides a gap between the back of the mirror and the wall. I did not remove the front coating of the tape, which normally has adhesive on both sides, so it wouldn't stick to the wall. The pieces of tape just act as spacer pads. I wish this mirror was brighter, but it is about the best you can do with this size and shape. The light it puts out is about equivalent to one of the three bulbs shown above it in the pictures or about 850 lumens. ... show more

The brightness and workmanship on this mirror was very good however the white plastic on the back of the mirror creates an objectionable yellow glow against the wall when the light is turned on. Note other reviews have stated that the anti-fogging feature always comes on when the mirror is switched on (like from an outlet) however, in my testing, I found that the anti-fog feature off or on state is memorized, and if the anti-fog mechanism is turned off, then the next time you plug in the mirror then anti-fog will continue to be off. ... show more

Love these mirrors, we had ordered an LED mirror before so did not really hesitate when we redid our guest bathroom, and we get lots of compliments on them. We had them hardwired in so we had to wait for our electrician to install them, but it was worth it. Important to note though we had to buy recessed wall outlets for the installation because the box on the back of them does stick out. The on-mirror buttons are a bonus feature as we usually just use the switch on the wall to turn them on and off. They are easy to clean and add a nice modern touch to the bath. This was for a bathroom renovation so the wall was open and wiring was run in the wall for a recessed outlet installed behind each one. Light is bright and great for shaving or makeup application.
