My 11 years old son used just for a couple tournament games, not for practices, and i never liked the sound, i asked some coaches about it and we definitely knows its broken, not a good bat at all....its 350$ to the garbage...hopefully we can get a refound from the manufacturer....to bad....

So far, so good. My son is 10 and this was the next step from a drop 10 to a drop 8 that we decided on. It's been durable in the 6 weeks so far and the delivery was smooth and a couple of days ahead of schedule too.

Bought this bat for my son for Christmas, once baseball season came around he decided it was a little too big for him and would use it next season. Fast forward to a few months later… He went to a Detroit tigers baseball camp and decided to bring his bat since he’s grown since this spring. While at this camp the players informed him that his bat sounds dead/broken. I am beyond frustrated. Other than using it MAYBE 20 swings at practice before deciding to wait to grow into it, this bat is new. Now we have an expensive bat that is broken and my son never even got to use it for a season. ... show more

    • Solid bat for contact hitter

Bat has unique design. My son likes the way it looks. My boy is 12 and is a contact hitter. We have used Marucci cat 9’s and X’s up until this point. This past season he has hit the fence at times, but can’t quite harness the power to give it the little extra he needs to get it over the fence. His cat x was 2 years old and I figured it was time for a new bat. We bought a 30 in drop 8. The bat hits hard and is well balanced, however didn’t give him the push I thought it would to get it over the fence . Could be because he went from a drop 10 to a drop 8, however I am of the opinion from my eye test that this bat doesn’t have the pop that the Hype or Icon has, at least when it comes to guys that hit solid line drives for contact. If I had it to do over again, I would have purchased him another 1 piece cat x as I believe it provides more pop and a bigger sweet spot . With all that being said, I can’t say that I’m disappointed with the purchase of the soldier tank. Still a solid bat that hits hard and seems to be durable . ... show more

My son was elated to purchase this bat with the money he saved over the summer. Sadly, the bat broke after just three months of use. It started with a rattling sound and a week later it broke. Very disappointing. My son is heartbroken. Not durable. Not a good value. 😕
