This stool had a catastrophic collapse! It broke to pieces after two days of use by my 350 lb friend. I purchased this for him to use on a fishing trip to change shoes and put on waders because it was rated for 400 lbs. It was lucky he wasn't seriously injured. I tried to get a refund and Amazon wants me to send the item back through Staples, but the link they gave was to a Staples 800 miles away. What's the point of sending back a bunch of broken plastic? I just want my money back. Update: Despite Amazon not properly processing a return and refund, the supplier was amazing! They sent me a replacement and a refund! I would still be very careful with the stool. If you are anywhere close to the max capacity, make sure you use it on solid ground and load it evenly. The stool is really handy, stores and packs well. If you need something like this, by all means buy it here from this supplier, they really stand behind their product.

The media could not be loaded. This stool seems a little flimsy but I've had it for a week and I love it. It's turned out to be a great product. I work installing electrical outlets in houses and I carry it with my tools. It opens and closes easily. It can be locked at different heights and it's held up so far. I love it, it folds up for easy carrying and opens easily. It has saved my knees and ankles from kneeling on the floor putting in recepticles. Great product. Thank you amazon, another great buy.

This opens to a very sturdy stool by just pulling the ends. The close it, just pull slightly and twist to the left. Much better than I had hoped. I also ordered the cushion designed for this stool. It too works well to with a couple bumps that engage the finger holes (for opening) so stays in position perfectly. Definitely 5 stars all the way around.
