I am an organizer snob and this one checks all the boxes. This planner travels with me all over the states and keeps me organized on all my adventures. It has great paper for writing, plenty of space for plans and the paper holds up well to multiple erases as plans change :) I love that there are no spirals- I absolutely hate metal spirals. This is a bood with a sturdy binding. The pecil holder on the side is very handy and keeps pen or pencil snug. The tabs hold up to 18 months of abuse very well.     • Has everything you need in a planner
This planner has everything you would want a planner to have: a weekly layout large enough to write daily tasks, a monthly calendar to keep track of everything, pages for contacts and information, quick reference sheets, and loads of notepages in the back. It is almost like having a planner and a diary all in one. If you are looking for something to keep you organized in the new year and an all-in-one sort of planner, then this is it. I didn't think I would use the pen holder on the side, but it came in so handy! I got very used to being able to stick my pen in there and then always have one handy for me. Also the elastic closure and the elastic of the pen holder never wore out and I used this planner a lot, like A LOT a lot. It is sturdy and held up great, even with me lugging it all around all year. The only reason I am giving this a four star instead of a five star is all the note pages in the back. There are a lot of them and it makes the planner a little bulky. I use my planner for everything and I didn't even fill them up all the way and I have this thing about leaving empty pages in notebooks so it just rubbed me the wrong way. Having said that, I still think this is a great planner and that it would be a good purchase. ... show more

    • Good, Bad & Ugly
I'll start with the bad; - The paper is very low quality. It feels awful as you write in it. Porous and fiber-y, cheaply made. It feels quite thick and heavy. - Layout, IMO, could be better. I prefer, by far, the Leuchtturm1917 or Moleskine layout of having the full week on one side and empty note taking on the other. Moleskine calls the layout found in this planner "Weekly Horizontal", and is, again IMHO, the poorer or the two layouts. - It's a thick planner, not only is the paper noticeably thicker than competitors', but this thing has much more additional sheets in the end than is standard. I did not count them, but it seems like there's at least 40 - 50 additional pages. This may be great for some, but I generally don't use this all that much, especially with the layout I prefer, where the notes I take in my planner are relevant during a set period of time. Now the good: - I paid $6.99 for it. Can't beat that. - The paper being thick and cheap plays the biggest reason for me keeping it. I use a fountain pen, and fountain pen ink tends to bleed through the page and into the back of the sheet. Especially if you use very watery, fluid ink, such as most of Diamine inks; not here. Thick and heavy gel ink is no match either. It may not feel smooth on a good nib (fountain pen 'tip'), but at least it doesn't bleed, doesn't feather and doesn't smudge easily either. In fact, I replaced a Moleskine planner precisely because of poor fountain pen performance. The ugly: It is an ugly planner IMO, but it does satisfy the need and checks all the boxes. ... show more
