I recently obtained a spice rack that has 35 small spice jars for my kitchen. Although there was a sheet of pre-printed labels included with the rack, as well as some blank labels, the blanks can't be printed so that they all look the same. So I wanted to create my own labels to achieve a uniform look, and ordered these with that purpose in mind. These are what might be considered 'budget' labels, in terms of the whiteness, brightness and weight of the paper. But they're good enough for my use, and that's what counts here! They seem to adhere well enough to the metal tops of the jars, and they are not considered 'removable'. Some of the other reviewers have complained of having difficulty printing these labels because they couldn't find a compatible Avery template, or that the page settings resulted in the print not lining up with the circular cutouts on the page. The vendor has provided a link to the TownStix website, which has an online design tool to create your labels and then download them to your computer to save locally and print. They also offer the download of a template that can be used in Microsoft Word, as well as PDF and PNG-formatted files. I have successfully used the online designer, the Word template and the PDF document to create labels that line-up correctly, so I can testify that troubles that some users have had are not the fault of the provided tools. I tried to upload picture using Canva and it was disastrous. Then I tried good old Word. PERFECTION. There's a way to remove the circle that shows on the template. I believe I right-clicked in the cell and for text so no fill or something. Just play with it.

The labels worked great. I would definitely order again. The paper is not the highest quality, so would think twice about using it in a business scenario where you want high-quality paper. I downloaded a template from TownStix and it lined up perfectly. To increase the print quality, I changed the printer settings, indicating that I was using "laser paper". I also found that I got better quality by indicating "photo quality", but the improvement was small... using much more ink & taking much longer to print. So, I bought these knowing there were reviews of people not being able to figure out the template. Here is what I did and they worked perfectly - please note that I did this in Microsoft Word (you can do PDF, Canva, or png) 1. Download the template they give you for Microsoft Word. 2. When you open the template in Word, you'll see a grid of 5x6 squares with circles in each square. delete all of the circles - you don't need them. (They're to help reference where the actual sticker is, but they just got in my way) 3. Click inside the first square (you should see your cursor in it). Navigate to insert your photo for your sticker. 4. It will come in as 1.5 x 1.5 inch - I dragged the edges and shrunk my photo just a tiny bit to 1.45 x 1.45 so that my entire image would stay inside the circle sticker and not bleed off the edges. 5. Copy the image that you shrunk and paste it into each square on the entire sheet - this is where the time comes in. The squares are there to guide you in putting the images in the same place inside the squares. You may have to spend some time making sure you can see each edge of the square and making sure that there is equal space on all sides. I use Word and labels a lot so this took me about 10 minutes tops. 6. Then print! You may have to go back and re-adjust some of your images in the circle if you want them completely centered in the sticker - however, every printer is different and will print differently. So while they may be centered in your Word document, your printer may grab the labels in such a way that they aren't centered. For the price I paid, these were excellent. Only gave it 4 stars because there were no instructions really, and you have to know your way around Word to do this. I did try to set up a blank Word document with the measurements they give you in the picture above, but it didn't work. I haven't used the actual stickers yet, so I can't attest to the durability of the stickers. Hope my instructions help a bit! ... show more
