I recently purchased a set of small wooden recorders and a colorful piccolo flute for my toddler. The recorders are great for learning rhythm instruments as well as developing fine motor skills. The colors are vibrant and the size is perfect for little hands. The piccolo flute is also great for learning music. The notes are clear and the sound is delightful. Our 4-year old Grandson likes to play this so I rated it as a 4. However, as the description states, it's a toy, not a musical instrument. When a hole or holes are covered it doesn't change the note it plays -- so on the two received you cannot play a song.

These are really cute my toddler loves them. The notes are not accurate but you would not expect this from a toy recorder so it is fine. But one of them did not work at all, no sound coming out.
