Nice product, well made. I like the fast charge feature and the digital readout of the battery. My use was on a pontoon. I replaced my boat cigarette lighter port for this USB-A/USB-C as we needed faster charging ports and we are moving to USB-C port chargers. This swap out was fast and easy. I removed 4 screws to gain access to the back of the old lighter port and unscrewed the back ring and removed the connectors. The new socket fit the old hole and connectors snapped right on. It went faster than I ever expected. I do plan on drilling a hole and adding the second one for the auxiliary battery. That way I will get digital readout of each battery voltage and be able to fast charge multiple devices. My buddy wants one now on his boat. ... show more

I have ordered and used 8 of these power plugs. They're decent enough but my disappointment is that the volt meters are not accurately or consistently calibrated and there's no way to adjust the display value. I have two of these installed in a camp battery power box and one shows a high reading (13.2) and one shows a low reading (13.0). My Fluke multi meter says the actual voltage is 13.12 volts. You wouldn't notice if they weren't installed side by side, and a tenth of a volt off isn't too bad, but it would be nice if there was a consistent reading between devices. ... show more

I use for battery boxes used on my sail boat. I especially like the power switch that doesn't drain the battery when not required and the fuse that prevents battery damage if the unit shorts out. Many similar products don't have these features.

    • Good replacement for Lighter socket in Jeep TJ
Two units in package and installation was easy. replaced the OE lighter socket in the dash of 2000 Jeep TJ, this was a simple task that added a USB B and USB C outlet. It should be noted that you need to press the button on the unit to turn on the USB function, it resets to off every time you turn off the ignition.
