This is a thin very lightweight skull cap for use in a helmet. Combined with one of those helmet liners that puts a gap between the head and helmet, but is really rough on a shaved head, it will keep the helmet from being directly on the sweaty skull. Cause that is yucky and uncomfortable. These things are thin and it's hard to tell if they will last very long, or if you end up losing it cause it got misplaced. they seem made well though and comfortable to wear, with or without helmet really. These are the only skull caps of the 4 brands I tried that are actually low profile. They fit great and work well. I use them at the gym instead of a baseball hat. I have a medium size head with hair (although thinner) and they stay put during cardio and keep the sweat off my face.
