I was highly disappointed in this rug. Not only does it look far better in pictures than it does in person, it feels really weird, like it has been coated with something. (It is made in China so heaven only knows what the fibers have been treated with!) The pile is also longer than it appears in photos so I would suspect the pile would quickly mat down after being walked on. Honestly, I've seen better rugs in the dollar store. I wouldn't even use it in the bathroom, much less put it out in the public areas of my home or at the doorway so I promptly repackaged it and sent it back. Also, I would highly recommend you be 100% sure this is what you want because there are no free returns on this, folks. My cost to return this hunk of junk was 1/3 the price of the rug. **Just wanted to note that when I initially purchased this rug 5 months ago, I tried to leave a review then and a message came up that said reviews were "blocked" for this item. I was skeptical about this rug, but I thought I would give it a shot. Price was good and figured I wouldn't be out much if it didn't do as stated. We are building a cabin, and have pure mud all around the place. I have 2 Labs who track in dirt and mud all the time. I put 1 of these rugs at each doorway, and was AMAZED! The rugs would get muddy and dirty, but my floors are clean!! The rugs dry quickly, so I would rotate the rugs from door to door, depending on which doorway was used the most, within a couple of hours, the wet rug would by dry, so I was able to keep rotating the rugs. Great little rug. We use this to step on out of the shower. Does not move. The backing is non slip. I’ve washed it three times so far. Does not shed. When finished with shower I hang it up to dry. Dries quickly. I will be buying several. For rotation when I am washing them and for other bathroom as well. I just wish this came in red. ... show more

I've had this mat now for 8 months. At first, I was super skeptical. However, after months and months of rain, I was won over. It does look more like a bath mat than a door mat. But it blends well enough on my gray floors to not be super obvious. It has held up amazingly well placed at the most trafficked door in my home. It washes easily and dries quickly. But, most importantly, it cleans the muddy dog paws and muddy garden boots just by stepping on it before going deeper in the house, trapping the dirt and muck at the door and not throughout my home. ... show more

I was stunned to get these two mats! I have shopped with Amazon for a long time and this is the first time I got a terrible product. You can compare it from the picture and my picture. They are so different. I am waiting to hear from the company to return those two mats. Yikes!

So far - this has been a great answer to my front door entry. I keep looking for a problem - but I can't find one. It doesn't slip or slide when anyone enters the doorway. I've had it for 2 weeks - I machine washed it for the first time this week and it looks like new. It is a nice neutral color - many shades of tan & medium brown. And I no longer track any outside yuck through the house. It's not quite as wide as the doorway, so I plan on ordering a wider mat and putting this one at my laundry room doorway. i bought two of these two packs for various needs. two of them are for under a couple water dishes for the dogs, one is for in front of the kitchen sink, one is for a non slip pad for an under the desk stationary cycle. the mats work great for their usual purposes. i just got them, so i can't speak to their longevity it durability in the wash, but so far are doing the trick under the water dishes and by the sink. it largely fails as a mat for the stationary cycle. we have tile floors and it our stationary cycle slips around when in use. i comendeered a more high quality (and more expensive) bath mat from the guest bathroom and it worked great. it gripped the tile and the machine gripped the plush mat, and i liked that it was easy to move around with the cycle. so i thought maybe i could get away using one of these cheaper bathmats and put back my other one. no dice. it's only slightly better than having nothing at all under it but the anti slip side is not substantial enough for this use. it's not it's intended purpose so it's not a huge negative. ... show more

Bought this for the back door. It is not a rug for the back door it is a rug for the bathroom. This would not last by the back door. Soft though makes it great rug for my dog to lay on.
