    • Get the size right, and it will make your time on the water, in the sun, a LOT more comfortable.
There are few things in life as 'FUN' :( as floating around in a small uncovered boat in 100 degree plus, HUMID, weather, without any breeze at all. Now, if you're either an ENGLISHMAN, and/or a "mad dog" ; drifting around in the bright "noonday sun" ;) might *work* for you, BUT, not for ME! This is where this nifty little Bimini top for small boats, inflatables, jon's etc. comes in. Check the specs and if the beam works, this little thing is lightweight, relatively strong, and does a heck of a job knocking that UV index down, as well as making your icebox of 'beverages' last a LOT longer;). At first glance though, it does seem a bit expensive for what it is, however, when you figure in the cost of beer,,,,I mean "beverages" these days ;) it starts becoming a a lot easier to 'swallow' O.O! And, it looks good too...:) In any event I give it 4 stars, as once you get the hang of it, you can put it on and/or take it off your boat in a few minutes; it improves your experience in the sun quite a bit, AND, you get to pity the guys on the big buck bare bass boats that don't have one :). This is a simple bimini top with a universal design for smaller boats, dinghies and inflatable rafts. It fits the Intex Mariner 3 perfectly. It's designed to clip at 6 points on your boat. The first setup take about 20 minutes. After that, you can get this on and off your boat in less than 5 minutes. My intex runs about 7 miles per hour and the top easily handled it. It gives really good coverage. This will fit just about any boat as long as it's between 45-55 inches between the mounting points. The top is made of nice 600d nylon with strong lightweight aluminum poles. It comes with a carrying case to store it. It gives close to 99 percent UV protection and it highly water resistant. You don't need to modify an Intex Mariner at all to use this top. It works right out of the box. The only thing you need to do is to adjust the length the of the straps. It's much easier to set up with 2 people. Overall, I do like this top. But it is quite expensive for $130. It works as advertised, it's lightweight, it's sturdy and it's easy to set up. If you can catch this on sale, I would absolutely recommend it. ... show more
