this trolling motor connector setup is top notch. very heavy duty. the only complaint is the print on the instructions is so small that I could barely read it even with a magnifying glass . Luckily there is a very good installation video on You tube. it took less than 45 minutes to install.

Great quality plug and receptacle. My only complaints is that the instructions are printed so small its almost impossible to read. Another problem encountered was the hole size. The instructions in the box listed the hole as an 1 1/4 inch hole saw. A closer look at the instructions show them to be for the MKR-26 and not the MKR-28. No way will the MKR-28 fit. After looking the item up online at Minn Kota, the correct hole size is 1 3/4 inches. ... show more

This is a great plug and worked perfectly with my Minn Kota Ulterra. Some people complain that the plug is too tight. It was slightly tight when I got it but after taking a drill (butt end) that was slightly larger and spreading the receivers ever so slightly it plugs and unplugs perfectly. Exactly the same as the Minn Kota version except is doesn’t have the brand name stamped on it and costs much less. I did a side by side and even the instructions are the same except for one has a brand name printed on it. Save some money for gas to go fishing more.
