I initially thought that the price was a little high for a good trolling motor connector, but it has excellent reviews and when wiring your boat it's better to get it right the first time. When UPS dropped it off I went out to pick it up. My first thought was that it must be something else because the box was a little larger and too heavy for a plastic plug in. As soon as I opened the box I was impressed with the construction and build of this connector. It's easy to install, a great fit and comes with good heavy marine wiring leads. It comes with the ferrels, crimps, heat shrink you'll need. I'm very impressed with this connector and don't think that the price "was a little high" anymore. If your looking for a good extreme duty trolling motor connector you can't go wrong with this one. The only negative I can even give is the instruction pamphlet is printed in very, very small font. But most of you won't need to rad it anyways. ... show more

I was quite surprised when opened the package... to start with the connector is way bigger than I was expecting, on photos you can't tell but you wonder why the price. This thing is SOLID, well built, includes all kind of hardware and connectors, even a rubber boot to cover the connections.

Plug and receptacle are excellent. The mechanical butt splicers are no good due to the threads stripping out when tightening down on the ferrules on the wire. You will need to purchase different mechanical butt splicers to complete the wiring installation.
