This QAJ brand 16-Piece Towels Set (light gray) is made of 100% cotton and is finished with a subtle, stylish motif. (There are shiny, silvery threads which run through the pattern.) They arrived - like many fabrics do now-a-days - vacuum packaged. And, so, right out of the package they seemed rather stiff and thin. But now that they’ve had a few days “to relax” they have expanded to a somewhat plusher thickness. There was a little confusion in the listing about a 16 towel set and an 18 towel set. There are four bathtowels, four handtowels & eight washcloths so the set totals 16 towels. The laundering instructions are pretty straightforward. Wash in cooler water up to 40°C/104°F, do not use chlorine bleach, if machine-dried use a lower temperature cycle, do not use a hot iron, and do not dryclean. All-in-all these are subtly stylish light gray towels that i could imagine to be used in a guest bathroom. ... show more

Okay, these are a little on the thin side compared to really thick towels. But in their defense, they just came out of a vacuum pack sucked so tight it could almost shrink an elephant to the size of a mouse. They do quickly "fluff up" and are soft against the skin and plenty absorbent. My wife, who is admittedly pickier than me, or um, what I meant to say is "more discerning", likes these a whole lot. Her exact words were, "These are just fine!" Which means they are quite good indeed! ... show more
