I have been handwriting letters to my college roommate for decades, okay? She hates email, doesn't text, and insists on handwriting letters. I am so low-key that I write her letters on yellow-lined paper. I feel guilty because she uses nicer stationary, but a handwritten letter is a letter in my Universe. This stationery is great for me. It may not work for paper snobs, but I am happy to use a regular ballpoint pen. I don't use old-fashioned quills or ink, gel pens, or Sharpies. For my needs, this paper and matching envelopes are great. I used a standard black or blue roller-point ink pen, and it didn't bleed or smudge. It was very fine. I had no issues or problems, and my pen glided across easily. The paper tends to be a little thin, but it's also great for me. The envelopes are heavier and very nice. It has a nice black border design, which adds a splash of uniqueness. It looks classy. There are 100 sheets of paper and 50 envelopes. You can easily use two pages for one envelope. It may not work for everyone but my expectations are met in spades. 5+

Couldn't help it, but if I do need to write home - I'll be grabbing this very nice stationary combo. Simple but medium weighted paper, Nice black sleek boarder. Was fine with both ballpoint and gel pens. You get a ton (=150 piece set). That's great, but I would recommend that it comes with even the most basic containment. Then again, you may have more room in your drawers than I do, lol. Very grateful to have this nice set when letters and notes are in order.

Oftentimes it's difficult to find basic writing paper with matching envelopes. Sometimes you want to write a letter be it business or casual and don't want flowers or butterflies on it. This package of 100 sheets & 50 envelopes is perfect for that task. It's not the high grade paper you'd find in Crane stationery products, but it's perfectly acceptable for the task. The black border adds a touch of sophistication. The envelopes are well made, not see thru, however I did have to apply some extra moisture to the flap to get it to stay sealed. Other than that I think this is a great stationery set at a reasonable price.

The product page says the paper is 7.25 inches by 10.2 inches, which was very close to what I measured. I included a picture to show the inner border size is 6.5 inches by 9.5 inches. The paper is about the thickness of printer paper, so it's easy to write on and fold up to put in an envelope. It feels nice to write on, and it takes ink from very fine ballpoint pens (like the red one I used) as well as fine point markers (like the blue one I used). The pages fold and crease very well, so it's easy to make a very attractive looking letter. I also love the classy border. It's elegant and unobtrusive.

I like the size of this stationary- the paper is 7x10 and the envelopes are not awkwardly sized. I have been using as an attractive way to send a thank you note to a medical office I recently used and to thank my mechanic for helping my grand-daughter in a car emergency repair. I know notes of thanks are appreciated in these cases but I don't like using fancy cards. This stationary is elegant- ecru with a black border. Highly recommend- very reasonable price
