The reason that I did not give a higher rating was because the posts and backings were too flimsy. Was so excited to receive this package in the mail, upon opening I noticed the jade balls were slightly larger than I anticipated, but nevertheless they were beautiful and I received all kinds of compliments. I couldn’t help but notice and use extra caution due to the delicate backings, I felt certain that due to the claimed quality and hefty amount that I paid, they would hold up. One morning, a few weeks after owning them, I went to put them on and one of the balls popped completely off from its backing. I am so sad. I really regret paying so much money for a pair of earrings that I could have purchased at Claire’s that would have broken just as quickly as these did and it wouldn’t have been such a financial blow. I am hoping the distributor will be kind enough to send me a replacement pair. ... show more

I bought these for my teenage daughter for Christmas. They are beautiful! However, for the cost, I expected them to last longer than a month. It's not like she wore them to bed nor did she wear them daily. Already, the post has detached from the jade and are now unable to be worn. The post is only cheaply glued to the jade. Sadly (for me), mine are exactly as pictured... or even a little lighter (I would call them pale mint)... so I won't have a reason to wear them often -- I don't care for pastels. I was sorely disappointed, but I understand that everything happens for a reason . I was lead to believe, via email, that the item had been shipped BUT later found out, via email, on a different day that the item was out of stock. It was a little disappointing.
