Description

Common Sense Marine boat wire is BC-5W2 compliant and UL 1426 listed, and meets ABYC and USCG specifications, which allows it to survive harsh marine environments. This triple conductor insulated boat wire uses Type III fine stranded copper wire, and features a durable PVC jacket. All of our boat wire is pre-tinned, which helps resist corrosion and lengthens the life of the wire. "Common Sense Marine" isn't living up to their (silly) name. There are supposed to be 3 wires, side by side, making a flat wire. But mine had the internal wires twisted inside the cover, making the wired sometimes flat, sometimes round, always twisting. I measured the resistivity of each wire and that seemed okay, so I think it was just the covering which went very wrong, and I ended up using it anyways. But I expect more quality and less questions/doubts when paying a premium for wire. I'll buy from a different manufacturer and distributor next time. ... show more

The sheathing and wiring sheathing is too thin. Thinner than anything else I have used. I know the picture doesn't show it well but it is very obvious when handling how much thinner it is when compared to a better wiring. I can't recommend it.
