I recently picked up this 12L Ultralight Packable Daypack, and it has quickly become my go-to for everything from quick hikes to city sightseeing. Why It’s a Great Find: Incredible Portability: It folds down into a tiny pouch, making it easy to toss into a suitcase or even a jacket pocket. It's the perfect "just in case" bag for souvenirs or extra layers. Surprising Capacity: Despite the "Small" label, the 12L volume is the sweet spot. It comfortably fits a water bottle, a light rain shell, and my essentials without feeling bulky. Weather Ready: The water-resistant fabric provides great peace of mind. I got caught in a light drizzle, and everything inside stayed perfectly dry. Comfortable Fit: Even though it’s thin and light, the straps are designed well enough that they don't dig in, making it comfortable for both men and women during all-day wear. Verdict: If you’re looking for a durable, feather-light bag that balances utility with a sleek, thin profile, this is an absolute winner for the price.

This is one of those items that makes me seriously question whether the designers actually use the gear they’re designing. To call this a hiking backpack is a stretch. The good: It’s lightweight, easily packable, and offers a fair amount of organization for its size. There’s a roomy main compartment, an inner pouch, and an exterior stuff pocket. The shoulder straps are surprisingly functional—probably the most storage-friendly I’ve seen on a pack in this price range. The left strap even fits a 0.5L water bottle (or slightly larger), though it won’t carry comfortably unless you balance the right strap with something of similar weight. The zipper pulls are also generous and easy to grip. The not-so-good: There are some glaring design misses. The sternum strap isn’t adjustable—neither up and down nor for tightness—and the clip feels flimsy. For a bag claiming to be for hiking, that’s a major flaw. There are also no traditional water bottle pockets on the exterior sides. The stitching in a few areas looks questionable (see photo), and I’m not convinced it’ll hold up under real outdoor use. The product page markets this toward hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, but no serious hiker, climber, or camper would rely on this pack. For travel, however, it makes more sense: it’s light, compact, and easy to stash inside luggage. The secure shoulder strap pockets are a nice touch for keeping small essentials close. Admittedly, I’m critical of packs like this because I’ve used high-quality gear for years. My North Face Verto 26, which I’ve had for 15 years and taken all over the world, is still going strong. It cost about $80 back then—worth every penny. This one, in the ~$20 range, isn’t built to that standard. The lack of YKK or SBS zippers alone is a red flag for durability. Bottom line: set your expectations appropriately. As a lightweight travel daypack or emergency backup, it’s fine. As a hiking pack, it’s not. If you can grab it for $15 or less, it’s worth it. Otherwise, spend more for a higher end bag (Osprey, The North Face, Eagle Creek, etc.) —you’ll get better performance and a lifetime warranty. And when it comes to packable bags, performance under stress is key.

Don't buy this item....the day I used this to take on the plane as my "purse"...the zipper did not stay together to hold what little I put into the bag...I could not wear it as a backpack...had to carry it by the small loop at the top of the bag so nothing fell out...I got it cheap, and it performed cheaply....oh well, I really liked the convenience and pockets it provided but it's not worth the hassle I went through trying to keep it together....

This is a neat little day pack. It’s so lightweight! I always find myself out with my two babies with an overstuffed bag and realize I either don’t want to carry my heavy bag and that I just want to carry a few diapers, wipes and my wallet and phone. Although this will hold more than that, I like having this in my car so I can lighten my load during family outings as we like to do things last minute, like a minor league baseball game or nascar race. It’s VERY lightweight so it helps a ton with the old neck injury I have that likes to flare up randomly. It’s a nice burgundy color and seems well made. The zippers seem like good quality.
