These cork backers were just what I needed to protect the bottom of my handmade wooden coasters. The adhesive is sticky enough to stay on a polyurethane finish and the cork did really well with laser engraving. Tried to go the cheap route and get more pieces from another brand. Never again! I returned that crap and ordered my tried and true Motasom cork. It's the perfect thickness for backing my ceramic coasters and the adhesive is amazingly tough. I use hundreds, if not thousands of these a year. I highly recommend this product.
