Will be ordering again! Bought this roll to make shirts for my kids field day shirts! I have ordered some vinyl in the past that wouldn’t stick to shirts when I was trying to correctly place them before ironing, and would immediately fall off when transferring them to heat press. These stuck perfectly, making my job WAY easier, and less stressful! Once pressed, you have to wait until it cools. Once cooled, I pulled the backing and they came out perfect!

Recently used this vinyl with my Cricut Maker and had no issues whatsoever. It worked just as well as the Cricut brand everyday iron-on. In fact, that is the setting I chose to use in the Cricut app when it was time to cut my t-shirt design. I did use the option to apply “more pressure” when cutting, just to ensure that every curve and letter would be easy to weed. I’ve included a photo of a shirt I made using this brand of vinyl in white. A few reviewers seem to be having issues with adhesion aka the vinyl not sticking to the t-shirt properly after ironing. This typically happens the most when the vinyl isn’t receiving enough pressure or heat during application. I have a professional t-shirt press that I got as a gift here on Amazon. I highly suggest that if you plan on designing shirts with the intention of selling them or making money, you need to invest in a press! This seemingly small detail can make or break the quality of t-shirt you create. The instructions included with this specific brand of vinyl states that it must be applied with medium pressure at 310-320 degrees F for 15-20 seconds. This is extremely hard to achieve by hand with a regular clothing iron. You also must peel back the clear carrier sheet while the vinyl is still hot, otherwise it may remain stuck to the carrier sheet and rip/rise up upon removal. I would definitely recommend this iron-on vinyl to other small business owners and t-shirt makers that own professional equipment. I don’t think I’d recommend it for someone trying to make a quick, one-time wear project using scissors and a regular iron. Amazon, Michaels, and Walmart all sell pre-cut iron-on letters and numbers that would work much better in those cases. That being said, I will be purchasing more of this when I run out. 12 feet at $9.99 should last me a few weeks. Much cheaper than its competitors. I hope this review helps someone! ***UPDATE: As of 8/11/22, this vinyl has held up tremendously after numerous washes and being tossed in the dryer multiple times. At this price and quantity, it definitely still deserves the 5 star review I initially provided here.

I've ordered this vinyl twice in black. The first roll was super sticky which made it difficult to weed with arthritic hands, but it was easy to see the cut lines so it wasn't TOO bad. The second roll was a lot easier to weed since it's not as sticky, but it's hard to see the cut lines. What I like about both rolls is the matte finish. I've washed shirts numerous times over the last year 1/2 with the first roll and the vinyl has held up well (I put mine in the dryer and don't turn them inside out like I should and haven't had issues). I'm hoping the second roll holds up well when washed. I'll also add that when I ordered the 2nd roll I was sent a roll that had already been used. Whoever returned it rolled their cut, half weeded vinyl back into the roll. I returned it and had a new roll 2 days later with zero issues.

I wish I had thoroughly read the reviews instead of just buying off the great price! I bought the black matte finish HTV, and it is really hard to weed. Even after weeding, the carrier sheet is not sticky like other carrier papers usually are with other brands, and it has a ton of what looks like adhesive residue. And then after transferring onto fabric (I’ve tried it on 100% cotton, poly-cotton blend, & polyester), there is what looks like the same adhesive residue on the design which makes it look spotted by shine/makes it look shiny, which is not a matte finish. I’ve tried different temperatures, hot peel, warm peel, and cold peel to try to get it to look right. And sadly, always got the same result. Again, I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing because I see that others have had this same issue with the black matte. And too much time has passed to return for a refund, so I guess taking the L on this one and going back to another brand even if it cost more.
