    • BAD PURCHASE IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE
Bought this bad boy because the window in my ‘91 civic got busted out by some thugs. Thought I could just slap this over the hole like you see in the Safeway parking lot and call it good, but boy I couldn’t have been more wrong. Let me tell you why. #1: You’d have better luck watching the Charlotte Bobcats win the 2020 NBA finals on your Nintendo DS than you would trying to watch traffic through this thing. Got hit by a bus no more than 3 minutes after applying it, and I hadn’t even left my driveway. That’s how opaque it is. #2: DEADLY. Sometimes when it’s chilly outside in the morning I go for a run. I get real hot and sweaty so I like to hop in my car to go to Safeway and buy an ice cream sandwich. Back in the good old days, I would normally just press my face against my cold window in order to cool down. Not the case with this thing. I don’t know if you’ve ever slept using a belt sander as a pillow, but let me tell you there’s not much else in the world quite like it. I go in for my third surgery tomorrow in hopes to recover from some of the damage this grip tape did to my driver’s side section of my face. Eventually I decided I’d rather just take my chances with the elements so I took it off and am going windowless. My kid found it in the dumpster and used it for his longboard, he says it worked decent but still isn’t very see through. 3 stars for price ... show more

I've used the black version of this grip tape with excellent results, so when I wanted a clear grip tape that shows off the gorgeous fiberglass topsheet of my now rare discontinued Rayne Rival deck I was pretty confident ordering this version. As you can see in the photos (and others have mentioned), it's not completely clear, it's a milky translucent. I actually dig how it muted the topsheet graphics, it looks understated and classy. If you look closely, you may see that I also installed crisp matching strips of grip on the vertical edges of the nose and tail as wearguards, which came out great! The install was a snap, even on the many complex 3D curves of the Rival. (tip: after applying but before cutting, slide a screwdriver shaft down the edges first, creasing them, and use a brand new blade, the trapezoidal kind like in a Stanley utility knife). I rolled out the few air bubbles with an old skate wheel after warming the installed tape in the sun. The only imperfection is my fault- I was lazy and only cut crosses for the screw holes...I should have cut small round holes...the tape bubbled a bit around the screws as I mounted the trucks grrr. I'll order this again when I get more decks that have worthy topsheet graphics! ... show more

worked great. I laid it out flat under some wood for a couple of days to keep it from rolling up on me when I applied it. You can still see my pinstripes on my longboard with this grip.

Good product besides having trouble peeling off the paper as simple as that SHOULD HAVE been. Paper kept ripping and couldn’t get some remnants off. Problem is it’s clear grip tape and can see those paper remnants

    • Machine quilting template grip strips = perfect
I purchased this for using on my machine quilting templates. They were sliding around on the fabric, causing imperfect stitching. Prior to purchasing this, I tried the little circles that are supposed to provide grip on the bottom of your rulers. They didn't work. I also tried the grip adhesive tape that came with a few of the quilting templates. That also didn't work great and I didn't get near enough for all my templates. After researching , I came across this product. I cut 1/4 inch strips and then cut into 1/2 inch long pieces and attached two to each ruler/template. I love it! Not once did I get slipping. I even replaced the circle grips on my rulers, putting two pieces on so the rulers don't rock. This is by far the best product that I've found - and way cheaper as well! I also have enough to share with fifty is my closest quilting friends and still will have extra. 😊 ... show more

Great griptape! It sticks just as well as I'd expect it to. This stuff is crazy rough, even just grabbing it to pick it up roughs up the skin on my fingers, so be careful. I bought this to put over a painted board, and I expected it to blur the image a bit or make it fuzzy. It didn't, and you can see much more detail than I thought! It's much easier to see bubbles when installing it, so be sure to work them out and take your time, as it can be a pain to get all of them ... show more
