This is a nice assortment of 5MIL mylar food storage bags and accessories for the price. The package includes: 25 Gallon size 35 Quart size 40 Snack or herb size 100 400cc O2 absorbers 100 Labels 1 Instruction + Storage Guide These bags are non-gusseted and only 5 MIL thick, so they are best suited for storing soft foods such as powdered milk, freeze dried powdered eggs, flour, sugar, herbs and so forth rather than items such as freeze dried meats or other hard items that could puncture the bags. Use 7 MIL or higher bags for those. The bags do not have a ziplock closure, but do have easy tear notches at the top with an adequate space above the notch for sealing. The oxygen absorbers come in packets of ten which allows you to use what you need without exposing the entire number to air. 400cc absorbers are perfect for all bags in this assortment. Pack your mylar bags first, then open a packet of oxygen absorbers and place one in each bag, then reseal the packet if you have unused ones. If you don't have an impact sealer you can seal the bags using a hair straightener or an iron. Be sure to include an oxygen absorber and manually try to push air out before you seal the bags. Don't expect the bags to suck down like they would if vacuum sealed though. Oxygen absorbers remove oxygen which makes up approximately 21% of atmospheric gasses, but they don't remove nitrogen or other atmospheric gasses. Don't worry though because those won't affect your food items. This assortment offers an excellent value at it's current price of less than $20 at the time of this review.

Generous amount of bags for storing food on long trips or gifting dry foods to others. Comes with a lot of labels and oxygen absorbers as well. The bags are easy to seal and feel durable and long-lasting. For now, I'm using them to store dry foods like jerky or dehydrated fruits. Unfortunately, these bags are only good for one-time use. Once you open them up, there's no way to close them up again temporarily like a ziplock bag.

I'm not thrilled that the material is opaque, but it's not a deal breaker obviously. In the product video example, they heat seal the contents without evacuating any air, which makes the oxygen absorber pretty nonsensical... We have a chamber vacuum sealer that these bags will fit in, so I'm excited to put them to use. I also like the 5mil thickness for better performance when cold, or otherwise dealing with pokey or oddly shaped contents.

I like that you get 3 different sizes of bags to choose from. They close up using a heat seal. If you don't have one you can just use a flat hair iron. They also come with labels and oxygen absorbers. I like that the oxygen packs come seals in sets of 10. So you don't waste all 100 just doing a few bags. If you're not sure how oxygen absorbers work, it would be beneficial to look it up BEFORE using them. There's a lot of great videos on the tube. The only con I've noticed is these do not have a reclosable ziplock. So once you tear the notch to open them after they've been sealed you can't ziplock it back for short term use.

The overall quality of the bags are good and sturdy. They are very useful for storing food like flour, sugar, and rice. The quality control needs to be improved, as I do find a few bags leaky.

I ordered this because of the value pack and great price. The mylar bags are thick and very sturdy. I didn't realize a heat sealer is needed. While the manufacturer included instructions to seal with a hair flat iron, I'm afraid it will ruin my iron. A heat sealer is definitely required if you are going for that professional look.
