These are thinner than the ones I was replacing and I felt like I needed to put a lot more into my diffuser bottle. Unfortunately they don't seem to absorb the oil that well, a few sticks seem fully absorbed while others don't. I could smell the oil for a little bit the next day but after that I couldn't smell it at all vs other sticks I've had in the bottle that I can smell beyond the room it's in for a couple of weeks. I'll continue to use this box but when I run out I'll try for a different kind.

I gave it a solid month and tried 15 out of 100 of these reeds in three different diffuser oil blends around my house. Not a single one of them worked. You could only smell the oil's scent when you freshly flipped the reeds over, and for _maybe_ an hour, but then it was gone again. You had to be right up on the bottle to catch the scent, so clearly these reeds do not pull the oil up in the much-vaunted "channels" (or whatever the super trypophobic holes are called). I was previously gifted a reed diffuser with compressed fiber reeds. When those ran out and I got new oil I wanted to use, I did so much research on which reeds to buy to replace the stock ones. So many sources talk up these rattan or rolled-up fiber/paper style sticks. I believed the hype... More the fool me. I wasted my money and have already ordered a different set of compressed fiber reeds, instead.
