These hair clips are strong. I have arthritis in my hands, etc. 78 yrs old. While these are strong they aren’t too hard to apply, close over hair. My hair is not real thick but not thin either. These stay firm in my hair . No slippage . I bought the brown ones. These are matte colored. Only 2 things I’d change 1. Make another clip about 1/2 - 1 inch longer. Keep making this length tho! 2. Make sone in a blonde color. Fir lighter hair . I will reorder . They also come in a plastic box case. Nice for storage or traveling. ... show more

I have very thick, straight hair that doesn't hold much in the way of accessories well. I ordered these on a whim and I was PLEASANTLY surprised with how secure these held my hair. Styles I would try with my regular barrettes that immediately started to sag were perfectly in place and secure feeling hours after I put them in. Somehow that extra bit at the bottom and the tight snap (they are a bit "hard" to open and close but I assume that stiffness helps keep their shape) are just what I needed for my hair. ... show more

Shaped just like the name brand, same size as name brand, from first glance definitely a good value for money! They are kind of cheaply painted, but for under $5 I think it’s a great buy! We shall see how they hold up. The appearance is nice. The gold does look cheap, but the others are fine. They’re smooth. The shape is perfect. These hair clips are super grippy. My hair is fine and thin and these clips work really well. I think they would hold a wig without a bit of worry. I would like to see bigger clips of this design attached to large clips and barrettes.

My hair is very thin and baby fine, so finding a clip that will stay in place is hard. These clips stay in place well, especially if I put some spray there, too. I wish they were plastic coated because these do tend to pull my hair when I take them out. The plastic coated ones just slipped out of my hair. These have a tiny circular rivet that catches the hair, so I have to remove them very slowly. Still get a broken hair, though. I like that there are ten, and I like the neutral colors. They are stiff when closed, but that’s what makes them so effective. I’m 73 and have no trouble clipping or unclipping them. ... show more

Love these… shoulder length hair.. put in ponytail.. there’s always one or two stay hairs that fall out. These clips grab hair, clip in place and can be pushed out of way so not obvious.. if I put hat on it doesn’t impede hair or hurt under hat like some barrettes.
