Write the name, the position and the date. Or you can just add the name, initials and use 1-2 or 3 lines for engraving on the front side. The filigree border design comes with each order unless you specify otherwise. it's a nice, personal little gift. kind of cheap feeling, but hey, it wasn't expensive. the good thing is that it quartz, so no winding necessary and doesn't need to be "adjusted" like old time pocket watches, and keeps great time! one thing that i notice is that it's so bright gold looking that you can tell it's not real gold. seems like they could tone down the gold plating just a notch. seems to open and close just fine also.
