I bought these to replace the one that came with my roof rack that are already rusting. They look much nicer and higher quality and are stainless steel which should alleviate the need to change them again from rusting.

I used these for a mailbox mount install onto 3/4” birch plywood, with 15mm threaded inserts. No issues. Install went as planned. I used a 3/16” hex bit I already owned with my dewalt impact. Included L-shaped hex wrench is fine but not lots of leverage.

The only reason I bought these is because they are black and will be visible on a black 80 20 T slot light mount over an aquarium in our living room so I wanted everything to look great. These bolts are fully functional and I will use them but I knocked the stars off for the poor finish on the heads. There are chips on all the heads that allow the silver to show through. If you just need bolts and do not need a perfect finish they would be fine. ... show more
