The kit itself is perfectly fine, and I actually liked the weight of the putter as well. The grip on the club is also surprisingly good - it makes for a very comfortable usage. However, the biggest drawback to this is the length. The product description obviously has the exact length on there, but I am sure a lot of people just read the age appropriate description of the product before buying, without necessarily measuring out the exact length (it is kind of difficult to know without actually using the putter anyways). And from that perspective, I would say that this putter is way too short for what it is being described appropriate for. We will probably get a little bit of usage out of it (and hence the 3 stars), as our son is still only 3 years old, but given how tall he is already, I think we will probably have to switch to a different one once he actually starts taking a liking for golf. The biggest positive is probably the included accessories in the set - they are of average quality, but still plenty good enough for kids to play and practice their putting. ... show more

I originally purchased this for my 11-year-old grandson's birthday, but I see that it would be too small for him. However, I don't mind keeping this on the back burner for my nephew's birthday in Spring. He will be 3 then and his father will have fun teaching him to putt. I've seen him throw balls with either hand, so who knows if he is right handed. Doesn't matter with this set as it is fit for either hand. The putters look sturdy.
