- Triple Filters for Various Shooting Scenarios: Light pollution filter with dual band passes that allow only light from nebulae to pass through. This filter lets you image space from wherever you are, even in a city or suburbs! UV/IR cut filter is best used on broadband targets like galaxies and star clusters. Dark frame filter is used automatically by the S30 to remove unwanted noise from your photos.
- EQ Mode, Plan Mode & Mosaic Mode: EQ Mode uses an equatorial mount setup, which is a more accurate way of tracking objects in the night sky compared to the standard Alt-Az mode. The Plan Mode enables you to select multiple targets you wish to capture, set up the necessary parameters for each, and schedule when to shoot them. The Mosaic Mode can automatically stitch two images together from adjacent patches of the night sky. This allows you to get larger fields of view than normally possible, like a panorama photo can.

awsome little but big in value,its total cool as heck,i put it on a outside projecter on a big screen 20 foot screen so cool,also you can share on everybodys phones they can look only not operertable to them but nice pix and colors overall it sometimes can find the moon so i move it towards the moon the no problems,its a little coastly but its worth it,also i leave on time lapse all night you will need to plug and use it dont overheat,has nice 3pod stand for sturty,case is well fitted and protects it good also bonus sun lens filterd for close to straght on looks at the sun,i would say its more for older teens on up at least the person need to be careful with it and no horse play its not a toy

I admit I was sceptical that a 30mm objective could capture much. Boy oh boy I was wrong. First night out I capped a stunning picture of the Pac-Man Nebula and of the Seven Sisters. Cell phone app is pretty intuitive. It does most of the work for you. There is a new model of the s30 coming out soon with lots of nice features, but the price point is considerably higher. I wholeheartedly recommend this product for it's ease of use, ease of transport, and the images themselves. The finished photos are a little noisy, but I cleaned it all up with ai. Takes between 10 and 30 minutes to complete a stacked image. Seems like a long time, but it is much quicker than traditional astrophotography. I set one of my telescopes next to it and do some visual astronomy while the image is being produced.

Excellent for the deep space stack pictures. I wanted to use it for bird watching because of an over abundance of bald eagles nearby, but the scenery mode pictures are not very good. I probably should have bought a camera instead but I do love the quality of the nebula photos and this has given me a new set of targets to photograph when the sky is clear.

Very easy to use. The new EQ mode is very easy to set up and it tracks the sky better than I imagined. This is 100% worth the money. You just walk away after you set it up and let it do it's thing. I have very light polluted sky's where I'm at and the seestar s30 does a great job. Note full moon makes the sky almost too bright for images but it still works fine if you don't look in the moons direction. Use a dew shield to block light from street lamps. It doesn't make a huge difference but it is a very noticeable difference.
