I'm always a bit leery of purchasing clothing; especially shoes online. However, after reading the great reviews I decided to these myself and I'm pleased to say I'm very satisfied! A note on SIZING: I normally wear a 8.5 men's nike trainer, and a 7.5 normal dress shoe. That said, these in a size 8 fit me perfectly. Of course because it's genuine quality leather, it took a bit of time for them to contour and adjust to my feet, but once the break-in period was over, I absolutely love these shoes! I will say the lacing is a bit interesting to navigate, as these are 100% italian oxfords down to the lacing.. so don't unlace them when you get them. They're laced perfectly, it just takes some time to get used to. It's a bit difficult to take the shoes on and off quickly because of the laces, but that's no fault of the shoe or the manufacturer. They're also very comfortable, but not like walking on a cloud. I guess when you're looking this stylish it's impossible to cloud walk anyway. The packaging was also very nice! Seriously impressed with how well these shoes were packaged and cared for before I got them, all the way down to each shoe getting it's own carrying bag and a shoe horn being included. For TL;DR stuff, see below.. Sizing/Fit: If you're an 8.5 in a nike trainer, the 8's will fit perfect. Comfort: 85% comfortable, kind of tough to wear in and don't feel as soft as other dress shoes, but for an 8hr day on varied surfaces you'll be fine. Packaging: Legendary-- Well taken care of with a shoe horn included. User friendly: 75% Not super easy to use, but that's just the laces.. These shoes came shipped very secure and I didn’t realize that when I opened the box inside of the shoe box that each shoe came covered in their own shoe pouch along with an extra pair of shoe laces and a color matching shoe horn. This company thought about its customers. Well worth it

I ordered this shoe in a 10, which is what I usually wear in a dress shoe. But when I got them they fit a half size too big. However, I had absolutely no problem with the look and feel of the shoe in terms of the leather used, not a dense thick leather, very soft, easy to wear, no real breaking in required. These shoes have a medium, to the higher end of medium glossy, but not like a tuxedo or patten leather gloss. The heel to toe drop is not what I was afraid it would be. I thought that it might be a bit much since they have a slightly taller heel than the shoes I normally purchase, but they were fine in that regard. The accent in the raised line crossing itself from the side of the shoe to across the top is a really nice touch, it's why I wanted to get them, and I'm not disappointed. Amazon processed my refund incredibly fast. I ordered another pair a half size smaller and they fit just fine. Overall this is a great pair of shoes, amazing styling, very comfortable. The item is described as being black cowhide leather and when received they were the correct shoe style but the exterior was not cowhide it was super shinney patten leather. I would like to exchange if possible ASAP for the correct finish.

My rating is a 3 because these shoes are not made for narrow feet. You don't have the cinch space because of how the shoes are cut over the tongue area. They are beautiful and they seemed like fine quality. Just the design is lacking for narrow feet.
