These are great, have saved my butt (literally) on many hot days in the past year. I bought these in summer 2024 when I couldn’t afford a car with OEM ventilated seats. I had my doubts but they were a negligible cost when compared with the jump to a trim level in most cars that had ventilated seats. One year in, and I couldn’t be happier! Completely reliable so far and they absolutely do what they are supposed to. Regardless of what I’m wearing, I can feel the difference when I turn them on. One of the biggest benefits is that it will keep me cooler if the other passengers don’t want the A/C on the deep freeze setting I prefer. I will admit that they are loud when on High, and my wife has complained about that in the past. I don’t worry about it because I have the heat tolerance of a polar bear and I’m usually alone in the car but I can see where that could bug people. They draw air from a fan that is positioned just over the front edge of the seat in the middle, so you have to make sure not to block that but I have it on the driver seat so my legs are not usually placed near there. They stay in position reasonably well but I do occasionally have to move it around or straighten it out. Still, that’s a 2 second adjustment that I’m more than happy to make given how much these have improved my ride in warm weather.

They work! I needed some relief from sitting on black leather seats on 95 degree days and decided to give these a try. The good news is they work. The fan gives a subtle cool breeze and, although it doesn't do much, it is effective and cools the backs of my legs as well as my back. I'm really happy with the difference they've made in driving on hot days. I think these are good value and would recommend these to anyone with leather or hot car seats. I did not give 5 stars because, as others have noted, the system to attach the seat is a joke. The two little front hooks are on short elastic that does not reach far enough under my seat to do anything. I tried attaching it to what it could reach, (the molded base of the seat) ; it looked like this would work but no, within a trip or two it slid off. The back headrest elastic is the only thing holding the seat in place, resulting in the seat shifting about and me having to position and carefully enter the car to move it as little as possible. There are side pieces (star-ish shaped) that could be used for something but who knows what. They attach to nothing in sight and no instructions whatsoever on installing come with the seat. What I have done is purchased flat bungee strips and have wrapped these around where the seat back meets the seat; this seems to be helping. If there were a better connection system to keep this seat in place, I would have given more than 5 stars. Seems a shame the attaching is such a drag because these seat coolers are better than I ever thought they'd be.

GAME CHANGER! At least those are the words I've used to describe this product to my partner as we get in the car during these hot summer months. He'll raise an eyebrow at me as I flip the switch connected to the 12V plug to "High" and the fan begins to whirr to life. Instant coolness caresses the backs of my legs all the way up to my lower back and I look at my partner and shout those words with desperate glee. As much as that sounds like hyperbole...I assure it is not. Now I am keenly aware that there are two types of people in this world: those that suffer from a sweaty backside while driving....and those that don't. Unless you're in the former camp, you simply cannot understand how impactful it is to use a product that corrects those problems. You may be thinking that 5 stars is a little outrageous, especially with the few imperfections the device may have, but those of us that know the struggle would gladly suffer the electronic whirring of a fan for the relief it brings. But let me get specific here: The installation in my Ford Focus 2013 was a breeze (pun unintended but please enjoy it nonetheless), taking less than 45 seconds. It uses flexible hooks and snaps to secure itself into place. It doesn't hug the seat skintight, but it's certainly adequate enough. I haven't experienced any seat shifting, though I imagine that will eventually happen. The fabric and texture of the seat itself is like a porous polyester with a cushiony interior. It's not uncomfortable to sit on, but it's also clearly designed with the seat comfort as a secondary consideration. The real comfort of this product comes later in a much better way. It has a medium length cable to plug into the 12V port that comes standard in almost all cars. Along the cable is a switch to set to Low, High, or Off. When it's on, a fan that hangs over the edge of your seat between your legs will kick into gear, sucking in air and compressing it to create cooling airflow through the bottom and backsides of the seat cover. There are two important things to infer from the way this works: 1. Because the fan compresses and blows air, it doesn't pump out cold air the same way your car A/C does. The airflow will always be cooler than the interior of your car, but think of it like taking 15-20 degrees off that temperature. On hot summer days, you'll probably be blasting your A/C as well. So as the air in your car cools, the fan will feel cooler too. You can speed up the process by using your A/C blowers that blow by your feet, if you really wanted to. 2. Because of how the airflow is concentrated, it can have a powerful evaporative cooling effect on those areas of your body it touches. This means that if you're suffering from a sweaty bum and backside, the seat cover will work even better than if you're drier back there. The fan does have a distinct electronic whirring sound. It's not exactly a "loud" sound, it's just loud for how small the fan is. When my car's A/C is blowing at medium or high, the fan is imperceptible. I can talk at a normal volume to anyone in the car. If this sound is the biggest burden to suffer for a cool bottom, then it is well worth it. Once on, you'll feel it immediately (even in hot cars). I get in my car after vigorous exercise and enjoy the bliss that comes with driving with this on. In no more than ten minutes, I am cool and dry back there. Even when I haven't just finished exercising, driving on hot summer days will deliver me to my destination with distinct wet spots on my lower back that I begrudgingly try to hide from the world. This product has eliminated that problem for me entirely. Since getting this product I have turned it in excitedly every time I've gotten into my car. It is refreshing, it is cool, it is easy to use, and most importantly....it is a GAME CHANGER! :)

The good: these seat cushions do exactly what they're advertiser to do. They cool the back and nether regions of those of us that don't have air conditioned seats in our cars. I recently bought a "new to me" used car with black leather seats. My previous vehicle had cloth seats so ventilation wasn't an issue even when my air conditioning compressor kicked the bucket. These seat cushions provide a nice flow of air that's pulled in from near the floor board (where the coldest air should be) and circulated through the cushion and out all along the way. It's a noticeable improvement. The seats are well made and I love the variable speed control. At low speed it still circulates a good bit of air while reducing fan noise to barely noticeable. Higher speeds obviously creates more air flow but more noise. The bad: As others have mentioned, the instructions are non existent. It's fairly self explanatory except for the two little anchors that tuck in between the seat and the back. The cushions are not comfortable to sit on. While they do cool you down, they're much harder than sitting on the bare car seat. I've gotten to the point where I don't use them anymore because of that. Are these right for you? It depends on where you want to compromise. Is keeping a dry back more important than a soft seat? Then these might be for you. If you're like me you may come to the conclusion that you paid for leather and you're going to enjoy that feel while sacrificing air flow.

Highly recommend. They work really well. My a/c comes out from everywhere because my door to switch from defrost to vents or the floor is broken so on super hot days I’m dying. It’s not so much that they blow super cold air, but there’s a fan basically at your knees and calves that will suction up the cold air from your car and it makes the hot days so much less hot!!! They’ve definitely saved me from having a soaking wet, sweaty back on my way home from work (as gross as that is). I’ve only been using the one currently because it’s just me in the car so the second one’s a back up just in case and it was pointless to just buy one when the price for two was worth it.

These will make your bottom cooler when AC has cooled down the car ahead of time. I have a model X2021. In the summer when I get in the car, the seats are fairly warm sometimes hot if the sun hits it. I do have sunshades but seat is pretty hot when I get in to the car. That’s even with turning on the AC ahead of time which Tesla’s can do. With this the seat is not hot but actually fairly cool when the car temperature is around 70. I can only feel cooler on the fanny but not the back. I wouldn’t mind if it were more comfortable softer, that is.
