I ordered this as a contender for my late fall baby shower. The dress was very flattering and I loved the tulip hem. It fit very well. The fabric felt nice and wasn’t uncomfortable. It was a good quality and nice and thick as you would expect for a velvety fabric. The hot pink color was true to the picture and was very vibrant. I ordered it in 2 sizes because I wasn’t sure how it would fit with my 8 months pregnant belly and I would recommend ordering your normal size because the size up that I got was too large. Ultimately, I decided to go in a different direction with the dress for the shower, so I did not keep it. I feel that this would make an excellent choice for a holiday party though, especially with the velvet!

I really loved the cut and fit of this dress. I felt like it was pretty flattering. It was heavy enough to feel like it'll hold up without getting hot. That said, it arrived with a hole in the side that I had to sew up. Not a big deal but disappointing. It's fairly low cut so I added a stitch to keep my bra from showing. I don't think this would be an issue for a bustier lady because of the way the fabric stretches. I first ordered in "rust brown" but really feel it should be called "rust orange." While pretty, it was definitely more orange than brown and didn't work for the theme of the wedding we were attending. It's worth noting that the dress arrives incredibly wrinkled. You'll need to address this with care since you can't just iron velvet. I borrowed a steamer from a friend and was set in twenty minutes. Would not hesitate to buy again, and definitely recommend!

Edit: I loved this dress so much that I came back for a second one for a last-minute event! The royal blue is equally as beautiful. My first dress washed well and I hung to dry. These are fabulous! So many compliments. This dress is all-around amazing! The fabric has a nice quality, and it’s super soft, has some stretch, and comfortable. I didn’t need to use the side zipper. I steamed it to remove wrinkles and it worked beautifully. It drapes your curves so perfectly and is sooo flattering to the midsection! I got the rust brown for a fall wedding and received a ton of compliments! Felt amazing in it. It’s also pretty warm. I bought a size XL. I am 5’9”, 38D, size 14, L or XL tops. The length hit at about mid-calf for me. My favorite Amazon dress that I’ve purchased, by far!

Update 1/5/25: Got it in green for my Christmas party dress and it was just as lovely! Get it! I originally bought this for my Halloween costume. I was mainly focused on finding something this exact shade of blue, not looking to add a piece to my wardrobe. When I put this dress on I was AMAZED! The fit, the fabric, the color. Everything is perfect and it is extremely flattering. I will now be wearing it to at least two holiday functions. Great value for the money, and true to size. For reference I’m 5’5, 208 pounds, and I got a 2x.

This is a BEAUTIFUL dress. Comfortable, elegant, subtle sparkles. I love it. The only reason I am going to give it three stars is because the sizing is so dramatically off. I normally wear size twenty or x x l, and I started off ordering the 3X on this based on the size guide, but had to return that, ordered the 4X, that was still too small. Finally, the 5x was a perfect fit, so make sure you go up at least three sizes.

This dress!!! Comfort and style in one. However after shaking your tailfeather on the dance floor you will think to yourself, i should of known better- because it gets hot in a velvet dress. The amount of compliments i got, the way I felt in the dress was beautiful But the dress is comfortable, the body suit that comes with was comfortable and just enough tightness to just help you look and feel great in the dress. Don't think just buy the dress!
