I've bought several pairs of these types of lights in the past and there's only one thing in common with them all. Structurally the light assembly is just as advertised and holds up very well. As for the mounting portion, it isn't even subpar. The screws/hex screws losen up, and the mount bracket breaks off after every single first use. End up having to tape them to the fixture every time. The makers need a new mounting system for them and they need it fast. The lights are very bright, which is exactly what I need and I'm sure many many others who have purchased these lights love about them. Mounting portion just needs some work. ... show more

installed on a 2001 crown vic. older car headlights are pathetic. put these on to help me see on the backroads. work great. they aren’t 240watts though. more like 24 watts. did the math and some real life testing they pull about 3.8 amps. everyone says run a 15 amp fuse. math tells me to run a 5 amp fuse. for my car and what i use them for they are great. they light up the road and make me feel like i’m driving a newer car. the hardware feels cheap. but it works. if you have a newer car (2010 or newer) these probably won’t make too much a difference seeing how most all newer cars have pretty good head lights. i could see these being good for older cars, ATVs or utility lights on some off-roading trucks. for the price you can’t beat them. ... show more

The price point is great, and the quality is great, but the die-cast mounting brackets are subpar and subject to the harmonics of whatever these units are mounted to. When a bracket broke, I ordered another set of lights just for the brackets. Now the second bracket broke. I used the remaining bracket from the second order, and I have nothing to fall back on when a third bracket breaks (and it will). For the record, these are mounted on a 26" snow thrower. I wish there was a way to communicate with the manufacturer to stock up on the mounting brackets, or, at the very least, either redesign the brackets or make them out of a composite with more strength. Here's hoping someone sees this and communicates. I love the product. UPDATE: In trying to reach the seller was problematic as I expected an email and was not monitoring my Amazon account. When I finally did, I found the seller provided a product code that would solve my issues, I entered the code into the AMAZON search bar and Violla, and there was my solution! The issue here was all on me, not the seller. He/she deserves a five-star rating. ... show more

    • Bright - But that's about it
These lights are bright. A bright, blinding white light. They are flood lights, meaning they light up everything in front of you, so be sure to use them just for off-road use. They were very easy to install, but they have two flaws. First, they mounting bracket seems to be made of zinc or some other very brittle metal. Mine snapped the moment I tried to resist the motion of tightening the bolt that holds them in place. Second, they are easily fogged up. I have mine mounted exactly as suggested, but one is filled with water spots after driving once in the rain. But, they're bright! ... show more
