Based on reviews I was not able to decide between M or L szize so I bought both. I am 5'3 153lbs. M was very good, fit well and was not too long. The pants are streachy so my fear that they will be uncomfortable in the weist was gone. I have a little tummy and pants ate streachy so the bump was visible a bit but I was very happy what I saw UNTIL I have tried the size L. That was it! My decision was made I kept the size L. It was looser but the pants are barrel so it supposed to be so. My tummy bump was not visible and they felt very comfy. No feeling that they are too big at all. It was hard to choose which vender to purchase the barrel style jean. I selected Zesica and am so glad I did. True to size, great material just enough stretch but feels like normal blue jean material. Love these pants! I highly recommend.

Love, but be aware they are very cropped on average or long legs. You may want to go one size up if you're looking for a lower rise and lower hem. These are shorter than I expected, which just means they can't be part of my winter rotation. The black pair are a good summer-weight cotton denim/canvas material.
