I purchased this to wear at work on Halloween and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was and at the fabric/sewing quality for being a costume... NO raw edges! I received ALOT of compliments. QUALITY: The material is a soft medium weight velvet fabric with some stretch... not thin and see-through and not so thick and stiff that it loses proper drape/flow. The wrinkles from packaging almost disappeared after letting it hang on a hanger for about a week. There was a bit of static but I just rubbed a dryer sheet on the inside of the skirt and it was no longer an issue. FIT/SIZING: I was unsure what size to get since costumes tend to run extremely small but the reviews all said it ran pretty true so I ordered three sizes to try: XL, 2X, 3X. The 2X worked the best as I'm a bit full in the middle (the XL might have worked if my shape was different). I'm a size 14/16 and 5'6" at about 185#. LENGTH: The length was about perfect. I would say if you are under 5'5" then you may have to shorten it or lift the front of the skirt when you walk. COMPLAINTS: My only complaint would be that the fabric used for the edging is rather an ugly yellow. It's not velvet like the rest of the dress but a stretchy plain polyester fabric that seems a bit out of place in my opinion. I think that if it was either velvet or an actual "metallic" gold it would give the dress a much more polished and less "costume-like" appearance. (If I get ambitious I might try to swap this out myself.) CONCLUSION: This is a versatile, well made, and comfortable dress especially for the price point. I used it as a witch costume this year but it could easily be turned into a vampire, elf, princess, period costume, etc. I expect to get many years of use out of this dress. I've had this dress for a couple of months now the material is really high quality feeling and the color is deep and vibrant I've been asked on many occasions if it was crushed velvet. It's weighted enough to keep me comfortable in colder breezy weather but also it breathes so I've been wearing it in the spring too and it dosnt make me sweat. I've gotten so much use out of this dress for so many different looks from a midevil queen, to a witch, to a queen of hearts cos play, to so much more. It's truly a beautiful dress with so much versatility a truly good value for my money. I LOVE this dress. I am quite tall so I did have to add some length but this dress is gorgeous. I felt like a princess in it. Perfect fit for plus size. The fabric has stretch. Easy to wash and I hung it out to dry. Got this for a fantastic flash deal. I will buy different colors. ❤️❤️❤️

Overall, the dress is ok. The fabric is soft and comfortable to wear. I typically wear a size L, and the size L of this dress fit me perfectly. However, I was disappointed to find that the ribbon/lace on the front of the dress is crooked and misaligned (as shown in the photo).
