Pleasantly surprised with these shoes. Bought them because the name brand version is getting out of control with the price. These were a great value alternative, and I was very happy with the quality especially for the price. I wear them almost every day and have had very little splitting in the rubber. They are comfortable and the canvas upper is on par with the name brand version in my opinion. They look great and I have gotten compliments from others who thought they were the name brand shoe. Depending on the brand, I can wear anything from a 9-1/2 to a 10-1/2, So I ordered size 10. The fit is slightly large, but wearing two pairs of socks (which I do most of the time, anyway) makes them fit well enough. These seem to be higher quality than most other canvas shoes I've ordered online. The material is thinner at the tops, making it easier to get on and off, yet the material is thicker down low where it matters. I like that. Durability? Time will tell . . . ... show more

For a low price you get a very reasonable approximation of the much more expensive Converse shoes. Out of the bag (wish they came in a box - it took a minute for the canvas to regain its proper shape) they look good. The canvas is feels thin - slightly more so compared to Converse. The fit, though, is what led me to write this review -- THEY'RE PROPERLY SIZED!!!! In fact, I normally order wide size, but these fit just fine. Comfort? They feel good. I wore them to an improv class, that involved a lot of moving around, along with a short walk from the parking lot. I didn't feel any discomfort. But let's be real here - these are more of a fashion choice than a legit means of transport. I won't be wearing these while walking the dog. I won't be hiking in these. I won't be playing sports in these. I'll be wearing these when the point is to have a cool retro look and be seen by other people. ... show more

I got tired of paying $80+ for official Converse All Stars only to have them fall apart after six to nine months. I even tried the more robust “70’s” series with the same result. These sneakers are affordable, have that same great Converse style, fit great, provide the same support as official All Stars and come in some great colors. For the price I don’t mind they only last about a year (still longer than “official” Converse All Stars) and it allows me to afford multiple colors for multiple styles. You get a lot of quality and durability for these $25 sneakers and in my experience they not just are more affordable but actually last longer than their Converse counterparts. I’d absolutely recommend these for anyone wanting that Converse All Star style without having to pay the high price tag and still get the same comfortability, durability and style. ... show more

Decent shoe but very thin and soft outer sole. I bought it about a month ago, and the shoe heel are already developed a small hole due to wear. I will now have to spend quite a bit to patch the hole with shoe goo, and reinforce the heel area with some good quality rubber, and this Canvas shoe will last for a long time. As you can see in the images, not issues with the canvas, which is practically new after a month of heavy use. It is just the heel area has excessively worn out. **Update: I patched the hole. It should now outlast the shoe (see image below). It is a simple fix, but why can't ZGR shoes simply make the out sole bit thicker? Is rubber really that expensive? All in all, very good deal if you do not have to walk on concrete or do much labor work. If you wear it occasionally, it will last forever. All in ... show more
