I originally got this to use as a layering piece for fall and winter. I wanted something neutral that will go with lots of my existing tops, not too thin and comfortable that will look good in an office. As always I will rate each category out of 5. OVERALL IMPRESSION Good quality and comfortable dress. It didn't layer well with a heaver button down but may work with some of my blouses. I love that it has pockets. The waist is very flattering and I like the color and believe it will go with a lot of my clothes. I'm taking one star off because the fabric may be too heavy for year round wear. SIZE & FIT 5 stars I got the size XL which is US 16-18. I wear a 16 and this fits very comfortably with no stretching or tightness. The waist doesn't pinch and the arm holes are big enough not to feel tight when I move. COLOR & MATERIAL 5 stars This is an nice cream white. It's a warm white without being yellow. The material is obviously polyester but is smooth and quite heavy. That gives the dress a nice weight. I think it would be too heavy for warm weather but has a lovely drape. QUALITY 5 stars All seams are finished and there were no loose threads. This is a good quality garment COMFORT The material is fairly soft and not scratchy. There is a good stretch to it. For reference, I’m 5’5”, 140lbs, 32c. I bought the dress in white, size small. I returned it and will not be buying a replacement. Cons: the entire chest/waist/hips portion of the dress is too big. In order to fit properly, you’d have to remove 8” of material. I normally fit snugly into size smalls and loosely into size medium so this seemed strange to me. The bodice is also too short for my torso and does not follow my figure, so combined with the excess fabric, it just looks wide and unflattering. The straps are also wider than in the model pictures. Pros: the whole dress is double lined with a heavy material so it’s not see through which is great for a white dress. It’s a true midi and the length hits mid shin. The dress fabric overall feels weighty so you wouldn’t have to worry about any Marilyn Monroe moments. I will not be buying a replacement because I’d need something smaller to account for the extra fabric in the midsection but then the torso section would still be too short. ... show more
