I’m 5’4” and 134 lbs for reference, and the length is perfect on me. I have purchased this dress in both a medium, and large. The large comes down longer on me ( of course), but it’s not too long. This dress has a lovely color, but the length felt off to me. Standing at 5'5", the dress fell below my calf instead of being midcalf, reaching an awkward length between calf and ankle. Despite the convenient pockets, the overall look felt odd to me, so I ended up returning it. However, if you are taller, it could be a great fit for you. The only complaint I have is that the color I ordered was teal and it appears much more vibrant in the model photo than it actually is but I still love the color! I am 5’2 so this dress is more of a maxi dress on me but that’s what I wanted and assumed based on other reviews. I’m usually an XL in tops and a 38 c in bras I do have a bit of stomach but the L fit great great there’s a lot of stretch so if you’re deciding between your usual size or sizing down I would size down simply because even though I went smaller than normal there are ripples in the top scrunchy part indicating there’s more room to fill butttt overall I just love the dress it’s super pretty and flattering. I wanted a dress that was pretty enough to wear to a wedding and not look underdressed but also casual and modest enough that I could wear it to church without looking overdressed! ... show more

    • DON’T put it in the dryer

I bought the “Rust” and immediately purchased the “Ginger” afterward because it was on sale and I loved the first one so much. I paid $26 for one and $22 for the other, and even though I love them, I wouldn’t pay more than $30 for another. The material is nice and soft linen-ish material. Unlined but not see-through. Has pockets, and the smocking at the top is very flattering. The dress hem hits at about the ankle, which is a perfect length for me. HOWEVER, and the reason I took off a star- It does not wash well. The first one I bought I machine washed in cold water and hung it to dry and it appears to have shrunken a bit. This may be because I still need to iron it because it got very wrinkly, but the skirt is much shorter now and hits at the wider part of my calf, which is less flattering on me. Ironing it may give some length back, but that seems like a lot. I’m a little sad about that, but it might be okay. My husband put my second dress in the dryer after the first wash, and it is basically ruined. The stretchy smocked part shrunk up SO MUCH. The bottom of the bodice used to hit at my natural waistline (which looks great on my pear/hourglass-ish shape) , and after shrinking it hits right under my bust, which looks awful on me. It also made the top tier of the skirt shrink tight around my hips/butt, which looks just terrible on me. Oof, it’s really bad. I’m going to try to pass it down to my sister, who is smaller and shaped a little differently than me, but it’s so heartbreaking. I plan to update the review with photos when I get a chance.
