Love the dress and fits true to size. I've noticed I have to size up on a lot of skirts or dresses sold through Amazon. I'm a small according to the size chart, but I ordered medium just because I didn't want it to be too small around my largest part (hips)! The medium fits with plenty of room and I'm going to keep it, but a small probably would have been a better choice (I'm 5'3 and my hips are 39.5"). Length lands right above ankles so a it's a maxi for me, which is what I wanted. The only thing I didn't care for is that the fabric (on the plain purple color) is kind of "shiny." That's the best way I can describe it. It's otherwise pretty. I bought 2 of these dresses, one patterned and one plain. I like the blue & white floral patterned one better because the fabric doesn't have that shiny look I'm referring to. You could roll the top down and wear these as skirts so they are versatile! If they went on sale, I'd buy a couple more. I think they are too expensive (for the quality). For example, they do not even have the rubbery stuff on the top to help hold the dress up like you would normally find on a strapless dresses. They have shirring with elastic thread, but not that extra row of rubber or anything across the top to keep it from sliding down like you'd normally see in addition to shirring in this price range. It's easy enough to come up with your own solution for that, but it's just an example of why it seems a little overpriced to me.

This is going to be EVERYTHING you need to know about this dress and sizing before buying! Plus, pros and cons +. Read this, and you’ll be fine with your decision. ************************************************* I paid $25 and change on some sort of sale here on this dress (the print I got), and that’s exactly what I feel that the item received is worth. I will explain myself about this. You may make an exception. I personally, would NOT pay full price for this item. It’s very cute, fits great, and I like it a lot, but a couple of things. 1) I’ve been shopping my whole life, and I consider myself to be a fabulous bargain shopper. I’ve bought and sold on eBay since 1999, and for this dress, the quality is about a $20 dress, but since it has a lovely print, $25 was ok to me, since I really like the style. Now back up at $40? Not worth it, FOR ME.. based on a dress that I could find for $40 in a nearby store in NY here, if that makes sense. It only has one light layer.. it is not at all lined like some other summer dresses from here at the same exact price point, but still- it’s cute! The $15 leeway is dependent on the person. Climate doesn’t hurt either. If you live in Florida, you can wear this much more than here. 2) at least for some of us, winter is coming. I’m in NY, so I may have one occasion to wear this, so here, any summer items are on sale in the stores, so these should be on sale, in my opinion, like right now, too. Like just in general, due to the seasons, but I guess that’s up to the seller. I don’t know why the one I bought is full price now. I always discount seasonal clothing I sell on eBay. I guess the prices on here can fluctuate, too, since I did get an almost $15 discount, so do look back and maybe you to will get lucky and save some $ like I did. It’s very lightweight, thin material, so you won’t be able to wear it in colder states and countries, anyhow, for long. You could definitely pair this up with a trendy jean jacket, but your legs will still be cold, brrr 🥶, due to the thinner material. I’ll hang it up for next year. I paid a fair price, but that’s what it’s worth, in my very experienced opinion. Had it been lined, etc, I’d give more leeway for the $40 tag, but if you still wish to spend it, maybe you aren’t as avid of a sale shopper, or don’t have a ton of malls nearby to buy clothing at.. this may be ok for you to spend the money on. If you are satisfied.. fine! I’m just letting you know going in, my point of view and info. About the dress you are buying. I like another color too, but it’s not on sale. If you love this dress you can’t get it outta your head (I’m a girl, too- been there), it may also prove to be worth full price, cause you just gotta have it. I just wanna give as much info. As I possibly can for you gals. Our money is precious! (So is our style, I know.) I do love the dress for like a warm summer night or trek to the beach or a hot day at the mall, a trip to the local pool or summer festival, but it could use a liner, for sure. It would add to the quality and also give it a wee bit of added warmth. I’m giving this 4 stars based on THIS dress at THIS price that I paid ($25 and change.) It would not be as high of a rating at a heftier price tag. Just being honest. This is from my own point of view, for me. I thought the dress print I got might be nice for Thanksgiving, but it will be WAY too cold to wear then. It’s just thin material, but on a very hot day, one might appreciate that. It is really cute, but to me.. not worth $40. It falls perfectly at my lower ankle with my bare feet without any sandals on, and I’m 5’6’’ tall. The model.. not sure of her height, but it falls longer on me then her in the photo, and it’s PERFECT for my height, like it was made for me. The one thing I wish is that they extended the elastic down just a couple inches more, to add some shape to it, and to you. I pull the dress down so you’re seeing more cleavage, but I’m fighting to have some kind of waistline in this. This is a super common problem with smocked dresses. I never understood it.. give a girl some more shape, and extend the smocking down just a bit, and it would add a feminine curve there. I’d appreciate that. This one isn’t AS short of an elastic panel as some I have owned, but there’s still room for improvement. (3 inches would be purrrfect), but I do have to pull it down to get any hint of a waist curve. It’s so easy for them to do.. I don’t know why they don’t. It would look much more sexy, yet still demure, if u get what I am saying. Anyway, it’s light, it’s airy, I like the ruffles on the particular dress that I purchased. It’s fun and unique, and on sale it’s a pretty darned good deal. Not the best I’ve ever gotten, but to the average person.. yes! So I do recommend it, I’m just wanting to give you all the information I can before your purchase. As far as sizing… that’s very easy with this garment. The smocked top is very stretchy, and will expand to either fit a small or a larger bussom. Don’t bother sizing up for that, unless you are super huge on top. I’m 34DD, and the small fits A-OK 👌🏻. The waist and hips are free, since the dress is flowing, you have tons of leeway there, as well. You can lose weight, gain weight, even get pregnant, and this dress will still fit you! I’m 127lbs, and 5’6’’ tall, for reference. Ordered a small ❤️. I hope you guys have found my review of this Zesica, full length summer bohemian dress, helpful, and if so- please let me know :). Very pretty, I got the for an upcoming cruise. Very flowers, color is vibrant, it's lightweight and comfortable. I will put cakes on under the top part for support but you really don't need them. This color was a little different from the others and took awhile to receive. I'm 5'4" I weight 165 to 170 this is a large. I could have gotten a medium. I have lost 60lbs and am still loosing. It is a flattering dress even on a senior women.

I absolutely love this dress and will order more in different colors and patterns. I was skeptical to order a printed pattern, (I am 5'9", curvy) but the floral green is just as pictured. The aqua and orange colors are perfect for Summer and it is very flattering. I also ordered the solid army green and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the color! (Again, color is true to the picture.) The fit of both dresses are true to size. I am a L/XL (I purchased XL. I could have probably worn either, but the XL will be fine.) The material is quality, and it will be nice and light for hot days. Great with flip-flops, or sandals. I can't wait to buy it in other colors!

I bought this in Aqua & BluishViolet. I'm 5'9 and these come to my shin or shorter. Both are different lengths, so they definitely are not cut the same. They fade fairly quick, the result is not as vibrant as the photos after a few washes. The ruffle pieces are very thin, not as fluffy as photos give. I do wish they were not so expensive, as the price does not match the overall quality.

Color is as pictured and fit is perfect. Nice light (not see through) maxi dress for summer. For reference I am 5’6 about 140 36B/C with broad shoulders. Strapless bra would look best and easily hidden. I currently wear a size 8 in shorts and skirts and a medium tshirt. I generally wear a size down in dresses and ordered a Small. Fits perfect. Does not hang like a potato sack like so many summer dresses these days which end up looking frumpy on my frame. This has a nice flow with just enough to hide bit of mom belly but not too much flow that would make one look pregnant.
