Love the dress and fits true to size. I've noticed I have to size up on a lot of skirts or dresses sold through Amazon. I'm a small according to the size chart, but I ordered medium just because I didn't want it to be too small around my largest part (hips)! The medium fits with plenty of room and I'm going to keep it, but a small probably would have been a better choice (I'm 5'3 and my hips are 39.5"). Length lands right above ankles so a it's a maxi for me, which is what I wanted. The only thing I didn't care for is that the fabric (on the plain purple color) is kind of "shiny." That's the best way I can describe it. It's otherwise pretty. I bought 2 of these dresses, one patterned and one plain. I like the blue & white floral patterned one better because the fabric doesn't have that shiny look I'm referring to. You could roll the top down and wear these as skirts so they are versatile! If they went on sale, I'd buy a couple more. I think they are too expensive (for the quality). For example, they do not even have the rubbery stuff on the top to help hold the dress up like you would normally find on a strapless dresses. They have shirring with elastic thread, but not that extra row of rubber or anything across the top to keep it from sliding down like you'd normally see in addition to shirring in this price range. It's easy enough to come up with your own solution for that, but it's just an example of why it seems a little overpriced to me.

Okay so I'm going to do a pretty in-depth review here because I actually purchased several of these dresses about 4-5 years ago, and just bought a few more. I originally purchased a cornflower blue dress that was very similar to the cream colored with flowers, but it had a soft periwinkle background. I got it for less than $30. I felt like it was about a $30 dress. I loved it and wore it a couple times a week so I ended up going back and purchasing another one, and I went with the cream color floral. One great thing about the blue and cream colored floral ones is that they really don't show any stains. I got a little bit of bleach on my blue one and you couldn't even tell. I wore my cream colored one in Southern Utah and got some of that red dirt on it and again, you couldn't even tell. The following summer and went to purchase another one and saw that the price had raised to $39 which I thought was a bit high for the quality so I didn't end up getting any more. But let me tell you, I wore the hell out of the two that I have to the point to where the top is kind of stretched out and the material is a bit faded. Even with that, and the stains, every time I wear them I get compliments. So I decided to bite the bullet and replace them - Even at $39. So I was very disappointed to see they no longer had the blue floral pattern because that was my absolute favorite. I saw they had the cream color one, but I decided to go with the soft pink with the white flowers for a change of pace. Free next day I went to check on my order and saw the dresses had dropped down to $27! So the pink one arrived, and it definitely is not the same shade of pink that it appears on the phone. It is definitely a much more vibrant brighter pink almost too bright but I think I can make it work in the summer. Since the price dropped I went ahead and got my cream colored replacement as well as I picked out an additional Bohemian soft cream and blue one. However, it does not look like the picture at all. It's bright teal, and the flowers are bright yellow with red outlines. I don't mind the brighter colors so I'm going to go ahead and keep it but I just wanted to let you know if you're expecting it to look like the picture, it probably won't. All the other dresses that I have purchased have been the same pattern on the top in the bottom so this teal blue Bohemian one is the only one I have that has a different pattern on the top then the bottom and sure enough, the pattern doesn't line up on the sides. But I think that's because they cut a bigger piece for the front and so it's just never going to line up properly. It lines up on the bottom, just not the top. However that part is going to be under my arms so I'm not too worried about it. These are great dresses at the $27 price point but I wouldn't recommend them at $39 or sometimes I see them for $49 or $59. One other thing that I really like about them and I hope they didn't change the material since I first bought them years ago, but the ones that I have have aged very nicely. Despite the fact that they are a bit faded, they are super soft and comfortable. And my weight fluctuates a lot but they fit either way. The new ones that arrived are almost a shiny texture and I feel like the ones that I got before were like that too so I'm hoping these will also soften up a bit as I wear and wash them. One drawback that some people might not like is the fact that for us tall girls, they are a bit short. Now for me, I'm 5'8, and they hit about mid-calf. So it looks like it's still an intentional midcalf length. But if you were a couple inches shorter it might be an awkward length. If you're tall and you're looking for something ankle-length, this definitely ain't it. Like I said my weight fluctuates a lot and these dresses in XL have fit me at 170 up to 210. My original blue one in large I could also get on at 210, they are very stretchy, but it just wasn't as flowy in the bottom part like I like. Another thing that I like is that the top lays nice and flat and doesn't dig in. Sometimes you get a strapless dress and it has kind of a elastic piece or something tight across the top that digs in and creates that sort of fat bulge on top. This dress does not do that at all. And one last thing, I prefer the cut of dress that just has a single large ruffle along the bottom. When I put on the one that I purchased that has the multiple ruffles going down it, I could feel the seam where the ruffle is. Kind of uncomfortable. So I will stick with the ones that only have the one ruffle along the bottom. (If I was just going to wear the dress once in awhile I guess it wouldn't be a deal-breaker but I wear these things often and comfort is a priority for me.) Hope all that helps someone out there trying to figure out if they want to get one of these.

I bought this in Aqua & BluishViolet. I'm 5'9 and these come to my shin or shorter. Both are different lengths, so they definitely are not cut the same. They fade fairly quick, the result is not as vibrant as the photos after a few washes. The ruffle pieces are very thin, not as fluffy as photos give. I do wish they were not so expensive, as the price does not match the overall quality.
