  • Works fine on flat or simple-curved surfaces
I used it on the face of a too-bright LED clock Frigidaire 308-2408FR Wireless Curved Mirrored Extra Bright LED Thermometer If that’s similar to how you plan to use it, don’t let the many negative reviews you see here scare you off. The pigeon-English instructions that are stuck on the roll are terribly inadequate, and other instructions you can find on the web are not a lot more helpful. Try these instead: Be aware, as another reviewer has pointed out, that there is a clear layer on the outer surface of this stuff that needs to be removed (I did so before I applied it). Another trick: use scotch tape to stick to the clear plastic on both sides of the vinyl to initiate the process of pulling them off easily; “prying” them off with fingernails sucks. Despite what some reviewers imply I found this stuff quite forgiving, at least at room temperature. If you aren’t happy at first, you can immediately pull it back up from the surface you stuck it to (to eliminate a large trapped air bubble, for example) without leaving any residue of adhesive, and then stick it back down. The vinyl is just stiff enough to keep it from buckling or developing folds if your hand can’t keep it perfectly straight as you apply it to the curved dimension of your surface from one edge to the other. The vinyl (after the protective clear cover layer has been removed at least) trims very easily and cleanly with a sharp knife. There is a tendency for small bubbles to remain trapped under the vinyl. Using my fingers, or a flat plastic squeegee, I could persuade them to move a bit, but rarely far enough to reach the edge and disappear. Firm pressure shrinks them a bit, but never eliminates them completely. Don't be dismayed, however. They weren't noticeable from a few feet away, so I decided to live with them. A few days later the bubbles seemed to be a little smaller, and a few weeks later when I took a close look, by golly they had completely disappeared! The very thin vinyl must be slightly porous, eventually allowing trapped air molecules to exit. ... show more

This was a great product for anyone who is planing on using this it works best with a wet tent method clean your the head light/ tail light well spray a light coat of water on the tent and sofly lay the tent on the head light push all the air bubbles out with a card and let dry then get a razor blade and trim out the edges do not apply heat for the first 8 hours this means no headlight uses of any kind I added a pic below of my finished work on my rx8 if anybody needs any help contact me by email:teinertjay1155@gmail.com ,thanks ... show more

  • Great Tint!
Fantastic tint looks a little lighter than 50% but it looks right to me and I love it I didn't cover my entire headlight with it rather I used it to DIY some "angry eyes" Looks great and the lights can shine through it at night really well It wasn't very strechable but still smoothed out quite well

  • Stuff is awful
I am really upset about this product all around. First off the videos to install doesn’t even shown the same stuff the install video has a paperback and all nice and flat the stuff that comes has 2 sides plastic that’s a super pain to work with. If it was like the video the stuff would be super easy to work with. I legit tried everything heating it to flatten it out and so out to where it stretches it out to much and eventually it all got wasted and rolled in a ball and thrown out. Make install videos with the same exact stuff you send to people bc either video doesn’t even tell you there’s to sides to peel off. Stuff was awful all around I’m not one to be upset and write bad reviews but this one I had to. Deff waste of money ... show more

  • It is not easy. Melting issue
This product is very dark I recommend you to stretch as much as possible. And also on my vehicle headlight it was not easy as a first timer it was pretty difficult that's why I have a lot a bubble bubbles because I got tired of it it was is too hard without heat gun. After a week, I decided to take them off " too dark with 8000" and lightfixture has melted ( my car's daytime running light? Or high beam(had yo turn them on feels too dark. Can'tsee so)? Whatever the only reason that I can think of... But anyways, I can see my 8000 lighting shine and living it without them. ... show more

  • Hard to install on curved surfaces
I think that this product is not very to install. It also does stretch very well. I ripped it trying to flatten an area. Going to try a different brand. Also it really only comes with enough to cover one of my tail lights. It does look nice but it also scratches easy.

  • Way to dark
This is like 5% tint literally useless. I’d advise not using this tint it’s to dark. You’re better off painting them with lens tint use about 3 coats and sand them down with 1500 grit and spray on 3 coats of clear and sand that down with 2500 grit and apply 1 more heavy coat of clear. Not to dark and nice mirror shine. Never buying this crap ever again ... show more

  • Not enough film
First it was barely enough to cover BMW taillights, and the bubbles were the most difficult to get rid of, so I ended up disposing and ordering another brand. I’m used to wrapping and tinting and this was by far the most tedious. No matter how you blow dry and stretch it, the small bubbles immediately appear on contact. Using a squeegee helps a little but it was pretty difficult overall. ... show more
