I went with the recommended size, and it fits well. It has some flow to it, which is what I was looking for in a new summer dress! The pockets are functional and work great for holding your phone/wallet/keys. It's nice to have a comfortable dress for wearing for walks on the beach and not need to bring a purse! This dress is awful. It runs true to size, but it shows everything. You could clearly see the outline of my bra and also every single little lump and bump you may have. I'm tall so I don't know how this would be on a shorter person, but even as tall as I am the v neck was so low you could see the front of my bra band.
