I just like this dress, period. I'm 5' 4" and about 135 lbs, and the medium size fit me perfectly. It has usable pockets on both sides. The A-line fit is flattering and the hem is just barely above my knees (I am kind of short though). I'm large in the chest (36DD) and work out a lot so have unusually big shoulders and upper arms, but the torso and sleeves on this dress also fit fine. In terms of fabric thickness and opacity, no worries there. No translucence that I could detect. The general quality of the dress is good, and I think for the price I have a dress I'll be wearing quite frequently. It looks to me like gentle wash and dry will work for it, too. In terms of what types of scenarios this would be suitable for? Almost anything short of formal. You could layer it with a cardigan or blazer. Add a belt (I will be). Accessorize with hosiery and/or jewelry. And while in my opinion the red and white flower print is eye-catching, neither is it overdone or garish. Just a plain, easy-to-wear dress suitable for daily were. My only proviso might be that during windy days, one might opt for a half-slip. Super soft! Has pockets! Love the color and length. I am 5’5 &1/2, #185, I am a girl with hips, n pooch stomach, it hides my stomach. I ordered a large, was debating on XL. Glad I stayed with Large. The sleeves fit good, the shoulder seams are right on point. Dress is good length even when you sit down.
