Pros: Paddle is light. Con: just a piece of black tape wraps around the joint of the blade and shaft. There is visible space between the tape and paddle. Water gets in the paddle's interior, and you can hear it sloshing around. Only way to get it out is shaking it upside down, where another imperfect joint between the handle and the shaft allows drops to escape. Trying to repair this defect with marine epoxy. ... show more

This is a great outrigger paddle. Most outrigger paddles tend to start around $300, so I was worried about buying one priced this low. Thus far I’ve been pleased - the double bend helps reduce shoulder and wrist stress and the paddle seems to be well made.
