Our daughter broke one of the trekking poles early into the very first use. I was hoping to work with the manufacturer to get a replacement. Their customer service rep assured me they would replace the broken pole, so I decided not to do an Amazon return. After weeks of back and forth over email, submitting photos, proof of purchase, I got tired of waiting and called them up. The same customer service person I'd been communicating with told me they would not replace the item. It was now too late to do an Amazon return. I can't find a way to contact anyone at Yukon Charlies and their parent company Airhead without going through this one customer service person. The entire experience has been horrible...The worst customer service I have ever encountered. I strongly do not recommend buying anything from this brand. These are great! The only thing I have bad to say is the heel strap sometimes loosens a tiny bit but thats it. They are easy to get on and off and my 4 year old loves them. Made winter a little less boring this year :)

The snow shoes themselves are good quality but I was under the impression they would come with poles and a storage bag. This listing is unclear if they do or do not. Customer questions asking about poles were answered that the did include poles and bag. My shoes came solo as just shoes.

These snowshoes were a Christmas gift for my 7 year old grandson! He and my husband used them for the first time yesterday (Dec 26). The shoes worked well. The bindings provide a snug fit- be sure to press the clip tightly. He loved them. The problem is the poles! The very first time he used them the basket and tip were lost in the snow. This should not happen the very first time you use them. Otherwise they provided a lot of fun for them both!! Would like to be able to replace the tip and basket or order new poles. ... show more

The little guy was finally big enough to "go out with the guys" this past winter, so we got these for him (age 5). Learning curve was pretty quick and they've held up well. These are great for my 6 year old son. I see now that they have changed the ordering to show two options: with poles and bag and without. When I ordered it showed the whole kit but only gave one ordering option so the assumption was that the poles and bag were included. They were not.
