This item was poorly packed for shipping. It was jammed in to an oversized box, caddy-cornered, with the original bob cut short to permit it to be wedged into the bigger box. This is what cracked one of the front window guards. Also, both the driver's side (Front and Rear Guards) had Manufacturers defects. Bubble ripples in the plastic. The tape was poorly cut prior to installation. I hope water doesn't leak in from the corners. Overall, very Poor Q.A. inspection from Manufacturer. I order a lot of things on Amazon this is the first time that I have ever left a product review I had noticed in other people's reviews that they said that they melt I absolutely can confirm The Sun and it's fall of the year here where I'm at in Tennessee and the sun has melted these down so far that they hit the glass on the window when you're rolling the window up and down and with all the reviews the seller obviously knows this and continues to sell them they should be removed from being sold ! ... show more

The product is well made. The material used prohibits a transparent smoked finish. As the product that is sent is translucent but not transparent. It utilizes double sided tape to adhere to the painted finish of your door. And on mine the end that meet down by the side mirrors had a difficult time adhering. And is still not adhering.
